Nice fun night, we didnt take the relic but we got the gates open, but our 2fg died at shrine

Logged in to pay houserent, asked for group, got invite, hurried to burning eras, got in, tried a bomb in gatetower, poor albies dead. BG calling for people to Relic, moving there, surs lost, relic closed so went up to defend beno and there the bombing just kept going!

All in all was a fun 40 minutes and nice rps!

And ofc since we managed to open the relic gate, Albs will use the 8 hours where we sleep to pve the last 2 relics...but who cares...!

was a good oldfashion keeptake and i hope everyone who was on had fun , was surprised hibs were able to take beno in the first place when they said lets go try , but its bit sad population dropped so low that us hibs can only get upto 4 fg tops while albs easily get 60 to 70 peeps as usual ; would be cool if all realms could get those numbers up

I really think the entire game was designed for keepsieging and fight for your realm.

This is why the server is dead as you see it:

In the beginning there were a game called Daoc. People started to play this game and thought "oh this is fun!"
People started to lvl up and realised that they had a frontier to defend.... "coooool"
Then the gamezergers came into paradise and figured that the game should be about 8 vs 8 in fair fights, all others are morons and idiots and noobs and pathetic and so on....

At first the people in the game thought the gamezergers was ok, what the poor people didnt know is that the gamezergers move from game to game shouting noobs and fuckin idiot to everyone.
The people in the game thought that there was some stupid people in every game so they let it pass for then.

The game zergers spread since they heard that the people in this game were so nice. More extreme actions had to be taken.
They started to point out areas were only full grps could go and others were only soloers could go. If you didnt do like this you were a noob.

The people in the game were getting pretty annoyed by now and some of them moved on with their lifes.

Now the game zergers were happy. Many noobs had moved away.
The problem was now they had very few easykills so that they could show how extremly good they were. Some of the newer gamezergers that had been fooled of the original gamezergers realised that they were not as good as they thought they were....

So the gamezergers moved on to the next game leaving the few survivors of the people to play the game like 5 years ago

Your post makes you sound like you don't even know what a 'zerger' is...

It originates from starcraft whereby the race called the 'zerg' would rely on superior numbers instead of strength to overcome the enemy. Calling a group 'gamezergers' implies that they hold the majority of the population of the game in question. Therefore the majority of the people got what they wanted? So where's the problem?

If in fact you mean it the other way round and truly think that 'gamezergers' are the minority and left serverless, you are really mistaken and your terminology is plain wrong.

Easy kills isn't necessarily what it's about and to be honest, after 5 or 6 weeks of running and only just hitting rr4, I really don't care about zergs. I as a 'gamezerger' (really, think of a better name please....) would much rather win starting against the odds then I would be natural zerging. The FG crowd never were about realm points as you can make at least twice the amount by simply zerging as you ever could seeking out equally numbered fights.


And as for the first lil bit you typed, what a load of crap. People who 'zerg' are by no means noobs or whatever biased terminology you want to use. To be honest, it makes me more insulted as a human being that people are still clinging to such age old sayings in the hope of being able to successfully flamebait people. Very few 'gamezergers' think of those who zerg as 'morons' as you put it. Really, where has all this anti-anyone-who-plays-different-from-me nazi bullshit come from. We're all players just trying to have fun so live and let live...(from both sides of the crowd)...

I'd hazard a guess that more of the 'zerg' crowd consider the 'gamezerger' lot in a negative way instead of the other way around.




You know, I would go back and clean up my post as the terminology of 'gamezerger' 'zerger' 'leet' 'noob' 'moron' etc etc is plain confusing. Why don't you let this stupid vendetta against a group of people you have lie and call them by a better, more comprehensive name.

We were AE and a hib pug (with our NS lost somewhere in the frontier ) at the shrine, that's about it, maybe 1 or 2 solo'ers...

PS. We ran over Team Conclave (afaik?) near the relic shrine, they hardly helped.

Lol at AE and CM being the apparantly 'best rvr guild on cluster' when really they are rather shit compared to about another 100 group that have left the server. If they went to somewhere like avalon they would get owned big time and ofcourse if any of the good guilds came back from avalon they would pwn guilds like AE and CM within seconds. But hey still rather amusing seeing people bow down to AE ingame when really they are just noobs compared to about 100 other guilds who have left the cluster.

4) Even if it's true, so what? It's all about having fun while your playing and adjusting to the playstyle that is currently being used.

It was fun last night, first time in a year I've logged on and played in rvr on EU I went into Surs with the rest of the albs and stealthed as the hibs wiped us, waited until the hibs all left then took the outer door down. Albs turned up and retook the keep within a couple of mins once I'd told them in BG.

Shocked there were so few nightshades on, perhaps they're all in Lab now? usually I'd have been murdered standing in an enemy keep with my crap stealth

How could we have helped you there? The zerg followed us in to the water when we didn't even attack.

We did kind of help before that though, before anyone got in to the relic shrine area CM were taking back Eras with no hibbies around, so we stopped them. I Don't expect a thankyou letter though

Ahh we're talking about two different occasions, at Beno we did attack you yes then ran to water where you didn't follow iirc.

At the relic shrine bridge I mezzed the zerg then we ran away again but you followed this time.

Have to agree although the start of the evening had some promise - we rolled CM and you're group a couple of times and were hoping you would come back Think you're grp got us at a bridge a bit later but that was it for fg fights all night more or less apart from when we rolled CM again later on when they were trying to close the relic gate by taking back Eras. oh and the AE/pug once or twice i think... hmm thinking about it actually we've had worse nights and thats saying a lot lol If it had of been competely crap we would have prolly relogged to Avalon

We were there to stop albs getting to the shrine and killed a few stragglers but yeah i think Nate was a little optimistic/hopeful but we didnt plan to kill any hibs there and were loggin shortly after we arrived at the relic gate anyway

No, we ran with Windraven after we wiped hibs at surs.. we arrived at bold just 5 seconds before you broke down inner.

Aye it was a tough call - leave Surs wide open and basically undefended or lose Bold. I got into the CK at Bold with 12% on door (managed to put a few ram users down before it went though) guess I had 2-3 fgs of Albs with me. Since /who NF didn't show more than 85 Albs I really dont think there were 80 inside Bold but never let facts get in the way of a good story

It probably cost us Surs in the short-term but defending one relic temple with people on retakes is easier than trying to defend two relic temples and retake which is where we'd have ended up if Bold had gone.
