Well, I did have some at about 4:30 am but then later on is what I am actually referring to (oh er!).
We went to a 'western style' shooting comp at the gun club this morning and it was fab lol, there were 3 stages and it involved some props, lots of cool western guns (shot guns and american civil war replica black powder pistols and under level rifles etc) and a lot of imagination.
The first stage was you had to sit in a chair and there were 5 tin targets infront (about 4 meters) and six wooden blocks a lot further away, the tin targets were mexicans and the wooden blocks were Injuns; the scenario was that your sat on your porch after a hard day herding cattle and then poachers come and try to do some russling so you had you shoot the mexicans with a shot gun then nail the injuns with the underlever. I got all mexicans and 4 injuns!
The second stage involved a 'Crap House Shootout!' there was a door and a cardboard figure sat behind it, you just had to kick open the door and then shoot the figure x5 in a box target on his chest...though the door kept swinging shut rof, and even though the target was only like 4 foot away I only got the box once rofl.
The final one was 5 tin tagets a few meters infront that you had to shoot with a black powder postol then you had to run up a slope, to where your horse had sadly been shot (it was a barrel with a blanket over it lol) load up the under level rifle and shoot a target of a (rather bow legged lol) sheriff (who was evvvvil) which was right up the other end of the range. I got 2 tin targets (I think they were eviiiil henchmen tbh) and shot the sheriff (but I did not shoot the deputy...) once in the hat and once in the ankle lol.
It was very cold, there was lots of standing about waiting, but man it was great fun! and the chaps there are all so nice and we all had a really good laugh.
Hope you all had a nice sunday too
