Summo in 'playing games' shocker.

Ages and ages ago I added young Summo to my ASE buddy list. Then promptly forgot.

Last night I logged on and bugger me if Summo wasnt playing DoD v1 on some obscure server somewhere.


Thats all really.

I was playing with him briefly on a Jolt dod server populated with "its not as good as the last version " moaning wankers, the sort that when 1.2 comes out will say, you guessed it "its not as good as the last version" etc etc. Unfortunately thier whinging meant I had to leave, as it was that or kill em with some kind of death laser or something ...

I love the new British maps, that vioce at the start of the round cracks me up. And whilst purists will not like having maps changed the small amendments to old maps have added all new perspective to them.

I just played with mank!

We had a great moment with the two of battling our way to the final flag on dod_forest then we ducked down by the flag... and failed to cap it.

Capture points on dod_forest need to be clearer.

MUCHOS FUN! And we were joined by Sean Bean*, which was nice.

Yes, that was confusing. Then I lost the ability to aim for the rest of the map

Was fun anyway, a couple of other people joined us in our TP but we could never get the final flag. Bugger.

I've had none of those issues, Daf. I've yet to try the MG42, though.

The only bug I've seen is that the flashes from gunfire can be seen through walls.

most annoying bug so far has to be non-respawning after dying...

timer ran out....but i didnt spawn and was still following the living players, but could talk to the other players as if i was alive...if i knew how to do it again that could be a pretty big exploit in clan games

MG42 always hits for me

That's down to your PC spec, so it's not really a bug. The retry issue I used to get in HL before I upgraded my PC, only one way to fix it. Buy more ram!

true my pc specs are shite

but i get much lower fps in 1.0 than in 3.x...even after tweaking eg cl_particlefx 0 etc.

also i never had the 'retry' issue with 3.x, so its defo an issue with the 1.0 release...quite a few other people have mentioned it on the official DoD forum....and the framerate malarky
