Summer Storm killed my puter :(

Yesterday morning there was a storm in my town.

Being an idiot I hadn't bought my surge protector socket back from uni.

Guess what, it toasted my moatherboard.

Crap. Anyone got any recommendations on a new board, gonna upgrade ram and processor whilst Im at it.

in the uk u have to pay seperately to insure the pc

but if i was you i would get a k7s5z pro mobo with a 2400 if ur being cheap or get one of those asus ones with 400fsb and get a 3000xp chip

k7s5a boards are cheap as chips u could get one and the cpu for under a hundred quid

Im insured mate, its covered on our house insurance, claims gone through fine and everything THanks for the advise though

I think that would be taking the piss a bit really 2.4ghz geforce fx and 1gb ram will do ok for now
