Anyone know how to get rid of MESSENGER SERVICE?, it keeps poping up and results in the game closing

I know, this thing is an absolute pain.

I did not manage to uninstall it, but if you use Zonealarm you can prevent it from accessing the internet, which effectively prevents it from running, and therefore from conflicting with DAoC.

Not ideal, but it works.

start - settings - control panel - administrative tools - services - messanger

then KILL IT!
