Stupid fkin tv.

No matter what I do - I can not get it off standby.

It goes into standby if 5 minutes unused.

The only problem is, the control is miles away at the missus' house.

Anyone have any ideas? I've tried unplugging it; turning it on and off; pressing all the buttons.

Plug it back in. If you unplug it, there's no point in turning it on and off, or even pressing all the buttons.

Usually they come off standby if u press the channel select button for a long time. At least that used to be the case :/


oh and teh plugging back in suggestion ... thats gotta be worth trying

I had a problem with my TV(it's covered though!), reported it last year and finally after being without it for like 6 weeks I'm getting a new one as they can't repair it

I would recommend getting one of them watches that do all remotes for such occassions!
