Hi all,

Anyone had any experience with Stuck Pixels? I have one on a laptop which is a light blue colour. I read that dead pixels are black, so this must be a stuck pixel.

So far I have read about software you can use to switch on/off pixels, tapping with a pen and soft cloth, and lastly the rubbing method with a cloth.

I hoped someone here had some experience with this and could help?

p.s. its only 1 stuck pixel.

happened to me once a couple of years ago, i just turned it off, got a damp cloth and sort of put a bit of pressure on the effected area (obviously be careful not to be too forceful) and rubbed it in a circular motion, powered it back on and it was sorted.

good luck, hope you get it sorted!

I had this - I whacked it really hard with a rubber mallet!

Snap your fingernail against it, lightly hitting the display surface, straight on the stuck pixel. Repeat until gone.

edit: you don't have to turn off the display

Why does the cloth have to be damp? I noticed a couple of people say use a damp cloth

Was gonna try this program called JScreenFix - Fix stuck pixels and screen burn-in

Tried tapping it with a pen (covered in cloth), also circular movements but neither affected it. Also tried holding the pen agains it whilst it was off, then turning on. Still no joy

Listen to me, tap your fingernail against it, around it, on it, etc, several times. Like attempting to swat a bread crumble off the table.
