Anyone got these before? I'm assuming their stress headaches due to the level of stress I have atm and the fact that I'm getting them a lot in the past 3-4 weeks, as opposed to once or twice a month before.

Any ideas how to reduce the regularity, apart from, not stressing out as much ;d

Kneck and shoulder stretches might relieve tension around the scalp.

I had bad headaches due to muscle tension in the neck/shoulder area, got some relaxants that helped like a charm.

I don't take 'em regularly, but when i wake up stiff(harhar), i just pop one and it's a lot easier day.

All things, upset stomach, muscle tension, too much on your mind, etc. effect stress and when they wear you down, you can't sleep and the cycle starts again getting worse and worse.

List all the things stressing you, causing tension etc and then start a process of elimination; what can you drop, what do you NEED and so forth.

Or alternatively ask for yer wee lass for a BJ and a steak when you are done with your work.

What Everz said, and make sure you sleep properly, or take some power naps during the day.

Avoid foods that can cause headaches, cheese, chocs, and don't drink alcohols or caffeine.

Holy shit, if you get stressed out by A Levels, dont even think about going for a top end job, you will end up dead.

I think it's more to do with the sheer amount of pressure you do get put onto you with these.

YOU WILL NOT SUCCEED IN LIFE IF YOU FAIL THESE
GO TO UNI?! HAH YOU NEED YOU FUCKING A MATE!

Seriously, having it at you everyday makes a hella lotta stresss, but till the last exam its like that, like me atm on my last one and i cba to revise simply that i'm burnt out :D.

I wouldn't expect such clueless posts from you tbh marc.

A-levels are a hell of a stress - much so that many believe uni is easier. The fact I have to sit 4 a-levels and achieve top grades to get to the uni of my choice is stressful.

<-- doing a degree prepping for one 2 hr exam (for which I actually get 2.5 hrs because I have to use the PC due to hand breakage at martial arts a few years ago) feel relaxed, happy and confident and under no stress really aside from wanting to do really well and get a first so I can take B2 up on his offer (if I get over 70% for exam he'll take me to Hamsterdam for anniversary)

I think I would go to bits if I had to revise for and take 4 exams at the same time tbh, Buzy relaaaax but not too much, certain levels of stress are good for you and help you to perform better.

Make sure you get plenty of sleep,
eat well,
exercise regularly (even if its just a walk round the block for 15 mins while taking a revision break)
and keep everything in perspective. No one is going to get hurt if you do not do well, you will do your best and come away with a clear conscious because you CAN'T do any better than that (unless you're chuck norris). Exams are nothing to get seriously stressed about they are a way for you to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the subjects you have been taught, it is a way to show off and tbh we all enjoy showing off a bit don't we?

and remember, you will be fine!

How can people think A-Levels are more stressful than Uni? I mean come on, at uni if you fuck it up, you have kinda wasted £3k-10k

I didn't mean it in a rude one - I just hate people having this belief that a-levels now-a-days are a pile of piss. Balancing 10-15 exams over 2-3 weeks is not that easy tbh.

Uni is a massive stress.

Deadlines, exams, modules, dissertation, rent payments, having to fed yourself, chaotic social lives, debt..

Shit give me a-levels any days.

qft.

Slightly pissed. Got my OO programming results yesterday... 74% on the assignment (\o/) but because I screwed the exam up, I got a overall mark of 63% (2.1 still, so is okay. Should have been high 90s if I didn't screw the exam :()

2:1 is a degree classification, not a module grade:eek:

*Kicks* Grades we're given in percent equates to a degree class. 60-70% is a 2.1 pretty much, 70%+ is a first.

Or the whole. 1-3, 4-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-15 thingy.. SAME THING KKTHX!

I try and get the equiv of 2.1 for all modules (screwed up a few due to illness in first sem, but hopefully made up for it) You know what I meant

I dont, because a percentage for me was equal to a letter such as A,B,C etc and a 2:1 is equal to a classification if you get enough % for it.

Ahh, fair enough. Is just how my brain works then. I associate 2.2(c), 2.1(b), first(a) etc. Generally the way I work really. But yeah, stress 4tl. Can't wait for the next round.

Learn to relax, and you dont get strees headaches. The only times i get headaches is when I wake up day after drinking to much and have not replenished the liquid i've lost.
