Released the week before last, and this week on LP, has anyone got Joe Strummer's last album (with the Mescaleros), 'Streetcore'?
I may be biased, what with loving all things Strummer, but this is really good - a friend told me it hadn't been getting very good reviews but it just seems really fitting given the great man's death last year, with songs like Long Shadow (originally intended for Johnny Cash) - "If you put it all together, you didn't even once relent/ You cast a long shadow, and that is your testament/ Somewhere in my soul, there's always rock & roll."

So.. thoughts? Opinions?

Haven't heard the whole album yet, but they've been playing the single "Coma Girl" (and a number of other tracks) on BBC6music on fairly heavy rotation and what I've heard sounds great.

BTW they have some samples of tracks on the 6music site.

Yeah, I must admit I do love Coma Girl (which the album opens with), and have the single (7" picture disc :D)
