As I woke up in Snowdonia Station today after a particually bloody trip to Llyn Barfog the night before (well, I tried to solo Wrath in my dress -- you get the idea.. I lasted 5 hits, though! Rar!) I made my way to Camelot.
As I rode by on my horse, I saw people... running. After shouting at them from my horse, enquiring as to why they were running I got strange replies, 'OMG! OMFG! FFS n00b Mids ttckn relcs!!!!1 LAME!!!!!'
Somewhat baffled by this, I followed the general crowd towards Castle Sauvage. On arrival, I found a fair few Albions rallying there. I could only asume they were awaiting reinforcements for some frontier fighting. But it seems they weren't. They were undertaking a ritual known only to me as 'LFG'. I'm not too sure what this is, but it's shouted out at the top of the person's voice, sometimes with a number and a profession before hand. And examlpe of this would be, '50 minstrel LFG!!!'. I don't know what it means yet, but I shall endeavour to find out. I shall, in fact, head to the library in Camelot tomorrow to research this.
As they people gradually stopped shouting 'LFG', I was relieved, and put it down to a momentary madness that the population should be shouting such strange things. But next they started shouting about another thing alien to me; the CG. The CG seems to be some type of club which you join and do things together. There is always a CG leader, and he or she is generally shouted at or for ('WHOSE CG LEADER M8????' is the normal way of doing this so I hear). What confuses me the most, is people shout when the people that they're are talking to are a few feet away. My ears rang for some time after this CG incident. The over-usage of the code 'm8' confuses me. I think it must be a codename for a secret weapon or some-such like that we will use to defeat the Midgardian heathens.
After the CG incident, people started to move out -- but no everyone. Several guards of the highest training and stature within Camelot stayed behind. I was baffled by this, and when I asked the Master Wizards and such like why they weren't coming out to defend Excalibur with us, they just hardened their skin and ignored me. I'm not sure how the state of our guards is on the whole now-a-days, but is it any surprise our relics are under attack if the guards won't even defend our frontier!
After about an hour of trying to persuade the guards (for some reason, time seems to fly by) I set off for Excalibur. As I neared the castle, I hear battle screams. 'CHARGE FFS' and 'OMG LAG!!!' but I can't really work out what they mean. I ran up the hill to the castle to see a wounded Briton out of breath and on the brink of death. I tried to make him comfortable, and held his head up so he could say his last words -- perhaps that he loved his wife and family, but I got something much different... 'OMG... Runnie... bolt... 500 dam, 400 crit... avenge my death... nerf... Runnies...'
I said to him sadly, 'No! You're going to make it, friend.. I'll carry you home.. we'll get you help.'
To which he said, 'Nah m8 i just release.'
After this, my head was swimming... I had no idea what was going on, and the World as I knew it was totally strange, and all these words that I'd never heard before were being used.
As I ran to the doors of the castle, I saw many Albions fighting. One was shouting 'Mon them!' while others were using the phrase 'n00b'. Eventually, the Albion army charged the Midgardians defeating them. One Albion proceeded to talk about how many 'RPs' he earned. I'm not sure what these are, either, and it's most confusing. He said he could afford MoP 3 with these RPs to further add to my conufsion.
Quickly, I ran upstairs to check on our beloved relic. It was still there, thankfully. Knowing it still might be in danger, I thought it best to take it back to Camelot where it would be safer. But when I tried to pick it up, the words, 'You cannot remove the relic from its shrine' flashed before my eyes. I asumed that I wasn't strong enough to pick it up, so went downstairs to ask for help carrying it I was told 'lol stfu'. I think that was a no.
Then some Albions started talking about retaking keeps lost to us before the raid. Apparently, the keeps are dotted around our frontier. I asked why they were there, and one person said for 'enemiez to take,' and another added, 'yea for hibs to pharm rlm pts with pbae'.
I suggested that we abandon our keeps and go back within our borders with our relics to Camelot to keep them safe from invaders, but apparently doing it like this give the Mids something to do. My suggestion to build a few portal keeps on the road from Castle Sauvage to stop invaders was also loled at.
I'm most confused.. I don't know what it was all about, and am still confused now. Surely this is not how things should be!
