My Missus has a A-Reg Polo which has less problems than my M-Reg Mondeo. If I get a new car im gonna get a Golf GTI or DTI. VW cars are built to last. The VW cars are about the only new cars left that dont look deformed. Maybe the BWM's as well.

considering VW own both Bugatti and Lamborghini, it's hardly surprising that they've got the expertise to build a supercar.
Then again, I've seen the back end of that thing, and it's fucking hideos - just drops off straight down. Think Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak (without the picnic table). Added to which, VW just doesn't have the cachet of the Italian marques, so I can't see it 'competing', esp with the Veyron close to production, the Murcielago out, and the F60 in development.

It looks like a "startled Ferrari" from the front (ie someone's come up behind it and shoved a banana up it's arse) and a milk-float from the back...

I've no doubt it's engineered well - but IMO nothing is ever going to compete with the sheer elegance of the Ferrari design ethos - Porsche have the "muscle" look, as do TVR, Lambo's, Lotus (to some degree with the old Esprit), the Audi TT being a prime example of a car designed to look like a Bulldog - other cars like the McLaren F1 and Lotus Elise try just a bit too hard for my liking - like the irritating kid at school who puts his hand up and is straining out of his seat - you know the type...
However, they're ALL a million miles from a Nova that's 50/50 Vauxhall/Halfords...

They actually answered the phone, so I doubt it.
I'm looking to get another bike next year (just in time for my 30th Birthday and associated mid-life crisis - which will be crisis #5 I think...)
Dunno what I want tho - I was looking at getting an R6, but I would just accelerate into the back of the nearest artic. and the wife says I need to stay alive until I'm in my 40's at least because of the life assurance payout...
bummer.

lol well i done 10 years at this job and i was a despatcher for a couple of years and im still alive so theres hope for us all!
obviously the bike trade is well quiet at this time of year ,im sitting in an empty freezing cold shop which is why im posting on bw hehe.
at least the view from my desk is good tho!
