If his PC was really hacked, and the hacker stole his daoc password and deleted characters, then i'll hold my hands up and say sorry, but its highly unlikely that this has happened.

How would the person get the IP? Lilp uses the Quakenet auth system to hide his real host so it's not from irc. Judging by who this is, I suspect he has given the password to the wrong person or something has happened with one of the numberous trades he does.

I did say IF he got hacked. Surely also GOA would have a log of when the Chars where deleted and the IP from which the person connected on. Was just throughing some idea's into the mix, like you said he did give his pwd out to a friend. But if it was a "Friend" surely they wouldnt delete his chars, and if they passed on his pwd to some1 else well... The plot thickens.

Any heres a little fact; from Wednesday till about Friday my host was not hidden as I had to reformat my PC due to INTERNET problems, as soon as I connected to the internet, my IE would crash and all internet applications would be hijacked ( not work ). So my host was free for all to see untill I searched for my Auth details again and enable the hidden host option ...

Talked to ur m8 Rich2? ( yah rich2 we can call him ) n he explained, sounds like u got urself a trojan on the comp or a spyprogram, u just have to check daoc website to get facts or atleast statments that this things happends.

And to all of u who baths in his missery I can just say, sigh... morons... If spent as mutch time on making this game n community better instead of always being rude, narrowminded n ignorent this game would be a whole lot better.

GOA won´t do anything. Not their problem if your comp gets hacked (if that is the case), get better security, don´t save login details on comp, don´t give out details etc etc

Took RightNow team 5 days to reply that, but didnt even BOTHER excuse any fact about items.
As I thought all items have gone, hurray. Also hurray to GoA for not even bother to check the login logs; if they did the lack of infomation they give to the customers is pathetic.

Just hope that whoever has the items/respec stones/money cannot use any of it !!!

yeah but apparently they didnt even say what happend, ofc its possible you get hacked and keylogged, but how the hell can you know for sure its your own fault if they dotn even bother telling what happend ??

Undeleting characters is a fairly simple thing for them to do. Restoring items etc is another issue.
I'd be surprised if Goa did any kind of investigation into your account being hacked beyond checking the database to retrieve the characters at their last save point. That's all they need to do and anything else is simply not their job.
Your computer security is always your own responsibility and as you're a well known account trader and you've admitted in this thread that other people know your logins then it's not too hard to imagine how this could have happened.
