Dear all,

I am activating a new addon at some point tonight, Stock Trader. This is an addon which allows you to trade on the London FTSE 100 (for now, I may open up other exchanges in due time), you get £5000 as a starting pot and can buy/sell shares.

Things to note:
  • You have to own the share for one day before you can sell them.
  • FreddysHouse charges a 5% commission on each trade (buy/sell).
  • All prices are listed as pounds and pence.
  • The addon is still in the beta stages so their maybe bugs present, report them, don't bitch about them.
  • I have asked the addon author to create an option so I can remove it from the navbar (I want to keep it clutter free so it works on low resolution screens)
  • Use this thread for comments.
Finally have fun, let's see who can make some serious virtual money!

Bought £3,000 worth of Mining shares, bad move, I know, I did this sorta thing as a competition at school, only if it was real money, we made £150k profit from £100k over a 6 month period, was the time when all the BUY GOLD adverts were on, so we just invested everything in Gold related areas. :p

Well I've gone all-in on a slightly finance-heavy but generally diverse portfolio. Let's see how much of my virtual retirement pot I can piss away! :)

Was very tempted to take a punt on Standard Chartered but bottled and took a worse risk on some unheard of shitpile... lost a bucket load... playing catch up now!! :)

started this 2 ago and made £187 alone today, investing in banks(I guessed there's only 1 way their shares can go after hitting rock bottom) and oil companies was the way to go... well, just BP.

Is it working right, almost all of my shares have more than doubled today?

Addon seems to have gone from GBP to USD...thus doubling in many cases.

Deebs needs to change it back to GBP
