Still not able to make foundations work-EDIT: FIXED !
I am really getting frustrated with this. I am on my 8th try now to get this damn thing to work and still I get that damn 404 Error.
The funny thing is this: the first time I copied my files to a folder in my d drive (thinking that it would be better for not conflicting) and I got to the second update before it errored out and stopped.
So I figured well, maybe I should have it on my C drive. This time I couldn't even get thru the first patch. I have uninstalled and deleted all my files, even cleaned out my registry. I did a fresh re-install and started over.
And still it doesn't want to connect, get the same 404 error message.
Finally I have called in the big guns, my husband. He does QA and networking for a living and is the one that maintains our routers, linux server, etc.
He's at a loss too... even tried installing it all onto his computer since its the "main one" and wouldn't work either.
Only thing he can figure is maybe there is a different port that needs to be opened up or modified in order to access the servers. I have never had troubles getting an update or connecting before and so this is very frustrating for me, especially since I know what I am doing and I'm not clueless when it comes to this sort of stuff.
So if anyone has any advanced suggestions (ie please no, did you make sure the ip is correct and no spaces because yes it is correct) please let me know.
I am going to contact RightNow for some help although they will probably just say the same thing as everyone else has. I mean, I know I should just give up but that's not the point. Its in beta and I want to try it out. (oh and for the record, I have used Gorre for other testing and it worked fine then).
I am also going to call Mythic, maybe they will be some help. (doubt it but who knows)
