my point of view on that thread is that it was an accident plain and simple. I have no doubt the poor woman feels terrible. I myself have been in a situuation countless number of times when you can be watching kids like a hawk, and they still manage to fall off a swing or hit their head. In context, yes, it was entirely the woman's fault, but I don't really think she can be called negligent for it. There is certainly no reason to be calling the authorities about her. Not when you think about the kids out there like Baby P who are being deliberately and brutally hurt. The authorities missed that...what a waste of time it would be to have them go to someone who made an honest mistake.
