We've all done it, you buy something on Steam, start the download and go watch a film or something. You come back in an hour or two and it says;
Updating: 7%, 500KB/s
"7%!!!!!!!!!!!! but it's been downloading pretty fast for over an hour?!"
You know the % is wrong, but you dont know how much is left to download. Well I think I just found a way
VIEW > BANDWIDTH MONITOR
Current download rate - 500KB/s
Peak download rate - 500KB/s
Total bytes downloaded this session - 7,575MB aka 7.5GB.
When you start the install, it tells you how big the download will be so you can estimate roughly how much longer the download will take.
p.s. yeah yeah some people may know this already, but I cant be the only one!
