majority of stealthers have a grp friendly char. But running as a stealther >being farmed by the GGs for most of them.

ye its right, i rather play my infil in solo (like 90% of his rps got like it) then to join to a random grp with sorc and breaking my keyboard (its not cheap ;<) if we loose to a noobish grp
and with inf i can be afk and watching tv much as i want (jeez how i dont miss those yells on vent-ts cause of it ).

Exacly. Being able to afk when u want is just uber

There is a regular group of scouts that roam. There is the usual inf zerg from <Roughnecks>. There is very often groups of 4+ Luri's that will unstealth on you. There is also very often groups of SBs/Hunters, though not seen many SBs/Hunters much at all recently.

Personally I solo most of the time, don't find any enjoyment it garrote spamming with another 3 infs grouped doing it too.

Looking forward to fighting the hib/mid stealthers of excal when the merge comes

Dont know anything about any excal stealther except the old SB Varg so I wont expect much except more stealther zergs

Maybe there is some ppl that think playing stealther is the best with this game atleast i do. or else i wouldnt have continue playing my ns. Anyways stealthers on prydwen its boring after fighting same rhougly 30 ppl for 3 months its not so fun anymore

well yes i used to find playing stealther was one of best parts of the game for me, but like u said it is no longer so fun fighting the same people or getting gang raped (like a hunter needs to be really! ) aint my idea of fun.
So atm hunter pretty well retired might take odd run or two but mainly playing with guild grps cant see clustering helping stealth rvr much unless a few still enjoy roaming cos bridge tower situation just gonna escalate.

Don't doubt there's people activly interfering with those fights, but ask yourself, what does happen if a stealther of Side A goes for a Stealther of Side B that was circling around the same fight ?
Most likely the oh-so-leet groups just add on wtfeverything that gives RPs ... stay out of our fights or don't complain if we add on yours. But that's of course a soooooo different story.

I agree, I also think the pay off for time spent out of rvr (pve) on a stealther char grants a much bigger pay off then spending ages developing for example a group char.

As when you're stealther, it's all about yourself and what you can bring to the table in a fight.

At the moment i'm kitting out a groupie, and even though I've given him the best template I can and having fun doing so etc, it is still way more satisfying when I think of a new idea for my SB's temp/spec or whatever.

However with clustering if I do play more of the SB again it might have to be in duos judging from the stealth zerg feedback so far.

Hello angry, long time no speak - nice to see youre still playing - throw a PM on FH my way sometime - probably remember me as Aut/Elend from a looooong time ago...

On the stealth subject - its not too good, on a strategic scale stealther co-ordination is nigh upon non-existent, and i tire of constantly explaining how volley a shared gt for significant damage to scouts trying to kill tower campers. My advice, go max melee spec and start grouping and pretend youre a BM

I'll add on anything going as a Ranger I think its my right, taking out a healer of a high RR grp is mucho fun.

It wont change for clustering excapt there will be more to add on.

Scout assist trains are plentiful on Excal, been playin my ranger constant for like 8 months and I can count the times i've been grp'd in a stealth grp on one hand.

I dont see many hunters about except on twrs/keeps, a few Sb's and not so many Infils.

I guess any twr/keep will be a kill zone for a while after clustering.

Thats only the half truth, about 85% of ppl made stealthers because they couldnt find decent rvr guilds/alliances/groups, so they solo'd, its just that this happened so much, that there were bigger stealther grps than normal - I remember when i dinged my SB 50, it was awsome, was about 5 lvl 50 SB's in emain, LOADS of thanes, and plenty of milegate camping stalemate, gifv that back - Maybe more ppl will make more grps and play less stealthers, but the first days gona be a laugh, the populations gona be xD

We are a group of irl friends having a laugh. Even if we run a group of 4 inf or 3 rangers its not that rare that we will be ganked by even larger number of stealthers.

Its just becuse we are in the same guild that we stand out more i guess. We are running small groups of "non" stealther chars aswell. On both servers.

The strange thing is, when i solo i never been left alone by fgs etc.So if we play 4 stealthers and jump all other small groups stealthers or nonstealthers why is that so horrible? its not like we are out trying to kill soloers.

I wasn't having a go mate, just stating that most stealthers on Excal appear to be solo excluding Post mortem who run a grp so I've heard every now and then.

I've only noticed you guys cos (a) like you said all the same guild (b) i've only seen you together.

I play to have fun I couldn't careless how people play if they enjoy it thats the main thing.

We all have been rolled by a FG its life as a stealther.

995 of alb sscouts ive seen have been at beno doors or on the walls of tower oposite oriens bridge...

i mean is it really any fun sitting on a wall all night in relative safety and wait for people to stick noses out out bridge for you to shoot at?

not even the bd's seems to solo on pryd ive noticed.. they seem to run in grps of 2-5 even encountered a grp of FIVE RR5-8 scouts/infils yesterday .... tried upload screenie of them but it wouldnt work

Well, I have to say I'm confused by what is being said here. I can count on the fingers of one thumb the number of times no-one has come to the aid of someone I'm fighting solo. Does my opponent see that as them adding, or as them saving him/her? I know I have no issue if any Mids come in when I'm fighting.

I think the real difference here is the casual player v the power gamer v the roleplayer. I'm firmly in the casual gamer / roleplayer bracket. Been playing since release with breaks when needed for rl stuff. Only recently hit 50 with my hunter (play a hunter because I've always wanted to rp a hunter and hadn't realised there was no RP in an RP game).

I play for fun and really don't give a damn about rps, deathblows, IRS etc. I do enjoy winning, so I prefer it when I'm killing as opposed to being killed, but as a low RR hunter I'm very used to the latter. Do I leech? Well, yes I suppose I do. Stuck in a keep, for example, animists using exploits to place shrooms where they shouldn't go, being sniped at ludicrous ranges by scouts and rangers that I can't fire back at (nice one Mythic) and so on, I find that a lot of my rps come from the work done by our casters.

As a roleplayer, I think it's my duty as a citizen of Midgard to rid the frontiers of all enemies and I'm happy enough to do whatever it takes to do that, without using exploits of course. As such, I tend to kill enemies whenever and wherever I can.

That said, I'm happy to respect the fact that there are people who want 8v8 and I tend to not get involved if I come across a group v group battle, but there isn't always time to count numbers so I might well just wade in anyway. Quite frankly though, if you're going to fight 8v8 at a bridge you're going to get adds.

Do I want rps? Of course I do. The faster I can rise in RR, the more effective I'll become - high RR matters a lot more to some classes than it does to others after all. I do not spend my life thinking about them though and could care less if I get more or less depending on whether someone adds in a fight or not. As I said, I just want to see the enemy dead - this is supposed to be an mmorpg after all.
