it's just too late to change things

they can't go change armor type or anything or swap spells on classes

rvr started out as an occasion where everyone went together and took a keep

mythic never knew rvr would become like it is today, groups roaming around etc

they didn't balance it when the group stuff started, they implemented RAs which screwed it up even more because they weren't balanced either

now, it's just too late. can't change it anymore. can't just take away a healer's CC and give him leather or anything.

it's just too late. this game isn't balanced, and it will never be, because the changes that had to be done early can't be done anymore.

the best change would be to remove all insta-cc and group RAs (and change sorc mezz back to normal range)

this would be closer to balancing, because it's mostly the CC that unbalances combined with other things

but this game will never be perfectly balanced

but the biggest problem is:

there's good/elite players and less experienced players

in games like CS, TFC, they're split up into Premiership, Division 1, etc

in daoc it just all comes together depends on what you meet, it makes too much frustrations.

like i only play TFC wars/pickups, never on a public server.

let's say daoc is only public server, you can't choose which level of players you want to meet, there's a possibility you get ganked by elite players 10x in a row

Teador in SCW, IDK, KotR and aK (KotR/aK was Prem, and as it is today SCW just hit Prem :p)

I hope you Mids like running around on your own, because pretty soon you will be. Not that its your fault at all, just the way the game is atm.

yonks ago i used to play under the name of Ody in MDB... but went inactive for ages, then played daoc, now i just play on random tfc servers every now n then for shits n giggles as Toxx.

Used to be pals with Ov3r in SCW, wonder what happend to him :/

It's a difficult situation atm in RvR. People are saying "givf Hibs", etc. Severance are a newish RvR Guild in Hib who have 2 x fixed groups going out looking for RvR in all different zones, trying to give you a decent fight.

The problem occurs when, as people have already said before, we can't actually get a decent 1fg vs 1fg fight. Yes, we could run in 2fg's I suppose, but this sort of defeats the object of why we were created, and isn't as much fun as most RvRers would probably agree.

You can only motivate group members so many times before people get bored of being killed over and over by the same groups of mids and decide to log early.

The answer? I don't know. But maybe people should start making more of an effort to run as just 1fg.

1 group of us were so close to killing MM for the first time ever at amgE today (I think ;) ), or at least we gave them a good run for their money. (No biggie for a lot of people I'm sure, but for a new RvR Guild it was quite an achievement as we're used to dying to them in under 10secs) Then BO baf, easy kill for them - no challenge at all as were were pretty much wiped of all RA's and mana. We all sulk, 2 of the group logs, end of RvR for the night.

Go figure why you're not getting more Hibs for RvR. The people who are saying "givf Hibs" are the only ones who can change this.

bah i wish KotR was still there, greatest guys ever :(

playing with them with the best in premiership was actually hard, but here in daoc its all about using the best formula's and numbers :(

oh well they are gone now so no turning back....

and well we fought u hmgo and u bafed fg in same way, difference is we still won:)

Or maybe mids could just loose the /cg join Blejs and stop baffing all the time - is amazing how in the last few months it's practicly impossible to fight a fg mids in emain without adds :<

Is goddamned boring.
