yeah, I use A D to turn left and right. Q and R to strafe left and right. I used this from the beggining, and it makes a bit difficult in FPS games for me ><

I use Z and X to strafe, have mouselook on, and forward/back is left/right mouse button . I'm wierd though.

I said before I thought the class is highly overpowered. the vid showed a lot of what I was expecting. slam levi bainspike. reaver bombing. imo they need to take away parry from reavers completly.

not really. But like im high RR and I tend to fight mostly assasins which is my niche.

you get a good feel for how strong classes are fighting them as a melee ranger. You get to see how offensive they are as you have no defense and you get to see how good their melee defense is because your only damage dealing capability is pure melee.

I mean reavers are a particulary nasty target for an archer. you cant bow (or even bow kite them with that insta dot) them so your gonna have to melee them. If you dont have purge your dead. Even if you have purge if they TWF or/and reaver bomb your toast. You will never take one down fast because they have good defense. you would basically have to dump everything on them and hope they dont have ip up(talking about the good ones here)

The general pen and paper fact it if you fight a class with shield and parry and good damage, if you dont have any defense he is gonna outdamage you. And in that case Im gonna need to counter that with timers. Problem is reaver has more timers and more OP timers than any archer.

Certains classes are better at certain things, a archer can take down most classes 2k+ away from the target, a tank can't - so it's fair to say that a tank in melee should have a fair advantage over rangers - still, high RR rangers are very tough, but if you wanted a class to own on and hunt down 1v1 and always win, you shoulda rolled merc - Also, reavers are aside from points made, a very difficult class to master and show.

I can't stop, but I must say I'm atleast pleased to see Stalky see the funny side of slam+levi+bs/dps buff becuase 99% of reavers deny the fact they rely on it, when they blatently wouldnt survive without it becuase they don't know what else to-do once their slams been purged. Lets just say, since the departure of Pin & NP, there have been very few if any decent reavers around, and this was all pre-ToA.

Aha, it's a fact. So you made it up.

Unlike you I am not so full of myself, I have seen a lot of decent Reavers til now (e.g. Xrys and Zagaine) and never a good NP player that didn't rely on, let's say, satellite navigation skills. And who cares about pre-ToA anyway? There is nothing you can buy yourself for being a good Reaver pre-ToA or pre-SI or OF or whatever? Most of it is forum based whoring concluding in legends and nothing else.

But tell me, how many of the top 10 weekly realm points holders from Pryd and Excal that play Reaver did you fight to back up your numbers?

I don't play DAoC anylonger, so I am not in any guild, and if I'd play it, I'd be in CM and yes, I'd go for a relic if I'd like it.
