Finally something worth replying to.

Unfortunately ECA, you're under the mistaken impression that arthouse is good and mainstream is bad and that your opinion is the right one (that's the impression your posts give anyhow), this is absolutely wrong, all movies made, every single one, is art in some form or another,

Whilst in a perfect world this would be true, its a simple truth that the majority of hollywood films are a moneymaking exercise. When these projects are approached from that direction they lose their definition as art.

Give me a non-commercial driven film that is in my opinion a poor film that is trying to express something and I'll still debate it, give me a commercial film that is pandering to 2 hours of mindless entertainment and sorry, I have better things to do with my time than waste my life watching crap.


Now I don't like for want for a better word arthouse films just to feel superior, I just dislike commercially approached projects.


Anyway this has all rather lost the point that most posts on this forum are "big name film xxx with multiple pages" or "your fav xxx/top5xxx".


I used to post regularly on the old BW film forum about less well known films that I had enjoyed ( I dont bother giving bad [ in my opinion ] films, the time and effort of creating a thread ) however only the same few people replied to them and there was no to little discussion.

If you want to talk about Buffy/Harry Potter et al then do so but please try and add to discussions of films/series that do not have $30 million of advertising and brand actor Y behind them as well.

Oh and also if you can't see that I post for my enjoyment while bored working and not particularly for debate ( I will approach anyone elses serious post with a real reply ), then I feel sorry for you especially if your a reg*
