If you can make sure it contains the Desktop accessory kit or that your pc has a 2.5 inch drive bay.

Those are stunning units. And it's an SSD - frankly it wont matter if it's hanging from your PC by a single screw in any available hole, or if it's attached to the side with blue tack.
We buy them exclusively for work for their reliability, they're also the most commonly used SSD's in enterprise array cache units. (price/reliability).
Use one (a 128gb unit) in my personal machine too.

If you do get one don't Image your old setup on to it It seems like Windows sets itself up differently on a SSD and you can get decreased performance if you image an old build. I have always done new builds so have no first hand experience but though it might be worth mentioning.

^ This is true - it will sort out things like disabling defragmentation and enabling TRIM properly. It normally does it when you "upgrade" but I've seen it act rather ropily. Besides, if you've got w7 on a USB stick you're up and running in about 5 minutes anyway :D

Been thinking for months about giving my Core-i5 laptop an SSD and 8GB of RAM as a present...I believe this SSD is The One. Time to give the Acer some lovin', eBuyer style.

The 830/840's are fucking lovely, plus they have some RAM sitting on top of the SSD to :)
