I recommend this app to EVERYONE who relys on Adaware as it took out loads of spyware, as in over 10 different types, that Adaware somehow missed......

Interesting Jeros, I was about to do some serious PC maintenance - I usually use adaware but I'll go back to Spybot. On a related note, does anyone remember that website that scans your running processes and provides a report of anything sus?

Big G I noticed that there is some spyware STILL on my machine now, i dunno if its downloaded itself again or what...and im using both adware and spybot

Use PC Tools Spyware Doctor. You can get an easy copy from the Google Pack

You should also look at Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:

The last infection I had, a good 6 months or so ago, Malware was pretty good at cleaning out the detritus (once I'd spent half a day manually deleting the virus).

AdAware has gone a little pants of late.
I personally use both Spybot and Malwarebytes.
The only popular one to steer clear of is Super AntiSpyware.

Spybot and CC Cleaner along with Clamwin Anti Virus keep my PC running. The first time I used CC it cleared up 20gb off my HD of just waste.
