Spirit resist as a Mid

If you have 0 in spirit, how will that affect you in rvr as a mid?

I am somewhat curios of which spirit threats we have against us out there.

From what Ive heard it is NS dds and Cabalist Air pets.

But what else? And is the information above even correct.


Would be greatfull for some answers or a link to a damage type table.

i'd be disinclined to not try to cap anything that you don't get bb resists for

Your main concerns with 0 spirit would be air theurgists nukes, theurgist icepets and necromancers. You should go for 20%+ in all except matter.

Rivan, according to the damage type table (atleast one of them but I believe that is the one up to date) sorc mezz is energy.

How common is theurg air (Vapormancy) spec btw?


I must say that I am rather convinced atm that 0 spirit along with aug healer buff (36 aug, +16% spirit) will do fine in rvr.

air theurgs are quite fotm, and they will rip you a new one with 0 spirit. actually they will rip you a new one with anything but 15% or more spirit and resist buffs. Since the typical good alb group you will run into will have 4 mages, there is a very good chance they will have 15% pierce.

That being said, alot of theurgs tend to spam pets instead of nuking, so spirit is still the most reasonable resist to give up.

That damage table is utter crap. Sorc mez is energy, just take a trip in rvr and delve the mez when you get mezed by a sorc. And ns dd is cold.

I wouldnt bother with spirit at all if I could only get 10%, since the majority of the casters has 10% resistpierce, all it takes is traldors and aura from zahur or cloudsong, making your 10% totally useless.
