Damn it took bloody ages knocking those doors down...mind you we only used a 50g ram on each (1 per night). Hope you didnt dent your guild budget too much upgrading them
Being a small guild obviously we have to watch our expenditure...so pick a figure and divide it by 10 and you will probably get close to what we spend on door repairs

Why 1 raid in a week? It isn't the stress (and there isnt stress if peeps work to a sched and do whats asked of them). Its because some of us feel its a complete waste of time and effort taking a relic in the evening and losing it in the early hours a day or two later. And before anyone brings up the "World Cup" or defended/ undefended bullshit... the server was at about 50% during this raid. And the raid actually started 12 hours before when we took Renaris, defended it overnight and moved about 60 peeps there for the next day. The Albs lost their relic because they couldn't take Renaris. Which may be the reason last Saturday night/Sunday morning the Albs spent 12 hours repeatedly trying to get Renaris back in probably the longest single siege in Daoc history (and well done to them for making the effort) - although no relic raid was planned. Most Alb raids happen when the server population is at about 15%. That's their choice. Not many Middies are enthusiastic about popping relic doors after midnight. Its a precedent no one wants to set. Why? Others like myself get a buzz when there is a possibility of 200 hi level irate locals steaming in to defend their relic. Albs don't understand this, probably because they have never experienced it and brought the bacon home. And we go for the Hib relics and are successful...whats the end result? Albs end up with whatever relics we collect using their methods and we lose out. Just remember which realms have the ability to conduct a successful "civilised hours" raid. Hibs did it once at Snow. Middies have done it about 6 times in Snow, Sauvage and the Gorge. The Albs? History is a good measure of a realm's abilities. I rest my case.
Finally on the relic issue - Middies don't need relics. With equal numbers - and even when the odds are stacked against us 2 to 1 CE kick arse 75% of the time whatever "adds" the opposition benefit from. I can only use my guildies as a yardstick here. Why? Because Cutting Edge has the best damned team ethic on the server. Over 50% of our members (16 as of yesterday) are fully siege weapons trained. There are no "prima donnas" in the guild and everyone is there for everyone else. And while we can normally only muster about 1FG at any one time (still looking to take a keep (conventionally Mallus
) with less than 7 peeps) everyone enjoys the experience. When we find the right candidates and get our numbers to our agreed maximum of 24 we will attempt a solo relic raid just to see if it can be done when we can get everyone online at one time.

We have people scouting on Hadrians wall all the time. Its routine for us. Just like we check on the relics every day. So don't give me that complet bullshit crap! You got owned man. Get used to it.

I just have to say that Veluden and Sverker did a great job organising the raid.
In little more than 2 hours they managed to get together the necessary numbers of people and rams to really make a serious relic attempt. Many radis fail already there.
As for the issue of being spied/spotted its always a possibility. Albs started to suicide after we left the tk so nothing can be said about that.
I would say all went pretty well until some brainless people desided to charge and throw aoe hammers everywhere on relic guards. They did not even give the albs a chance to get some rp's from us. It would appear a group of mids are never smarter then the least intelligent troll in the mob.
PS. Please don't start the flamewar about what times u are allowed to raid again.

a funny coincidence is that 5 mins after it was mentioned in the nazgul alliance by Garnet, who was upset that he wasnt told of this raid(which was kept in a /send base for precausious reasons) the albs in emain sucided... im not accusing any1 of anything, this is more a little flame towards garnet and the nazgul alliance... if we had kept it at /send basis, there would have been a lesser risc of spies and maybe this thread wouldnt even exist.... it is extremely childish of garnet being a part of the nazgul alliance to get upset by not getting told... the nazgul alilance tried TWICE to do a relicraid on excal, ONLY to proove that they could do it without the NP alliance.. these words was said in their /As (i know a few ppl irl who got access to the nazg alliance)

I sometimes take a lone walk into hadrians, so I can familiarise myself with the land, and find good locations for various reasons, or new routes.
Any stealther class that, as you say, is scouting HW, certainly 24/7, would take me out, as I am a mage.
Since I've been there several times on my own, and never once had a stealther take shots at me, or stab me <I sometimes stop to look around, plenty of oppurtunity>, I don't believe this crap of 24/7 scouting in HW.
It's a nice way to sound l337, but I don't believe the crap.

You stupid Middies can bitch and moan as much as you want but the following is a fact :
- Spy or not, as soon as the first of your forces entered HW (about half an hour before the actual raid) you were spotted by Harpy who typed what he saw in AU's alliance chat (I know 'cause I was reading /as myself).
Lots of middies entering HW + few middies in Emain = raid incoming. It doesn't take rocket science to figure that out.
Now considering that HW is an Albion zone, with things like a keep, two enemy portals feeding regular enemy incursions and a few mob grounds who are important for some quests IT JUST MIGHT HAPPEN THAT THERE ARE ALBIONS WANDERING AROUND WHO JUST MIGHT SPOT YOU, ESPECIALLY AT PRIME TIME.
If Albions don't hesitate to suicide where-ever they are (wether Lyonesse or Emain) they can reach Excalibur faster then a force coming from HW.

If that were the case my guys wouldnt be killing 16 - 24 peeps at ellyls every day. And taking Ren or Birk pretty much when we feel like it. (BTW what level were those Birk doors today?)
Normally comes across /as 1-2 grps of Mids Spotted in HW/Penns/Sauv.
1st question is then usually Killgorde and crew ?

i think mids are just getting frustrated because there last god knows how many attacks on excaliber have failed
every time mids fail they seem to make exscuses wether it be they got zerged .. we raided to late and they were all in bed .. ram carriers ld'd or got killed by patrols or mobs . and now spying lol i wonder what they will come up with next ..
at least we rely on our OWN scouts to spot inc enemy armys and not hib scouts
as for the caster who goesto hads n dont get gankedby a stealther afaik our scouts dont gank seemingly solo people . because that castermight be a decoy to destealth or let themain hib/mid that there is a alb scout looking for inc enemys . thus if hib/mid knew there was a stealther watching for inc armys they would dispatch there stealthers to find and kill him . thus he would release and then main enemy army could flow through undetected and the stealther that is watching for inc would maybe only think there was 1 catser and a stealther there instead of awhole armysat in tk waiting for a clear run .
do hibs/mids not use scouts with orders not to kill enemys ? no pointscouting for enemy armys if u destealth yourself letting enemy know they been spotted .

Spying on Killgorde is my lil' hobby
Whenever the first sauvage deathmessages are relayed to me I spend a lot of time in Sauvage. Yesterday I was a littel surprised that it wasn't Renaris that was taken but Berkstaed so I decided to take a walk there. I stood there for over an hour watching more and more Middies arrive and added them up loudly in /as until I had enough fellow Albions convinced that something was up.
This doesn't mean that there are spies in Midgard but I already spoiled 4 Midgard raids now. We don't need to rely on spies I think. Personally I don't trust spies since one never knows which side they really work for

for those of u who don't know i was playing Korv a bit yesterday and was online when it was said in guild chat...which i was using to communicate with 4 other NP stealthers in emain...i messaged ldr then and said that i wouldn't say anything and wouldn't go on raid...checked IRC to see if Korv was there to go on raid she wasn't so i carried on killing in emain with a few others...
i didn't spy or anything like that bloody stupid anyway...i know theres sum Albs/Hibs/Mids that do actually have duel accounts in other realms and have bought them for the purpose of spying...but it wasn't me last night...unlike mid HW is used alot for epics n stuff so armys often get spotted on way + there is great exp spots / item drops on the way to excal

Even hibs got nice reports from rangers how u had a really hard time with the guards (which i did not understand) and that in the end albs started arriving. As we heard guards and some albs owned you there was no point of going to alb frontier, but we were ready !

they are in every realm, but if you are spoted in hadrians, wouldnt mean it was becouse of that,
our lvl 40 epic is ending out there, so therefor there are alot of albs in that area, and if they see a larger hib/mid army out the
