Massive one about the size of Bodhi's head was in our bath last night.

People, stop slaying spiders! Just put a glass on them and chuck 'em out the window. They'll live, and fuck off like you want.

When I lived in South Africa(!) as a little boy of six or so and living in a thatched house(!), I saw the biggest fucking Baboon Spider ever. I shit myself and ran upstairs where my mum emptied a can of instecticide on it with a few wallops from her slipper. I have never been as terrified as I was then.

I don't fear the little ones that live in this country. Even the biggest ones. Some people need to live out in the sticks for a bit to see some real spiders (which can eat people ALIVE IN ONE GO, just like the one I saw).

Sorry for the bump but I swear that since reading this thread there have been more of the about. And they're getting bigger.

I was mid tommy last night and out of the corner of my eye I spot a huge one zooming along the floor. Needless to say it put me off my stride. Anyway one heavy application of one of my extremely shiny RAF parade shoes and it's now in pieces waiting to be vaccumed.

I found one wandering aimlessly around my bath yesterday so I put the shower on gently to kind of sluice it down the plughole but I accidentally had the shower on it's "hard as nails" setting. The spider practically exploded.

i moved out to the country about 6 weeks ago so am now surrounded by fields, the house is warming with spiders. before i got my desk, i was sat on the floor browsing the net and a spider that was easily the size of the palm of my hand crawled up my arm. i nearly shit myself, good job i had a big fuck off hardback book as a mousemat

lots of little house spiders and other funky looking ones, i let them live and just move them outside if they're too close for comfort. i used to be terrified of any spider, moth, fly, wasp you care too mention - six weeks of this house and i'm fine...
