AC is cheapo...around 8-10P to reach 1000. WC is uber expensive though. Probably about 15-20P to reach 1000 depending on your luck (I will be looking at spending 1000P with my luck ;)).

Hardly valid comparisons.

A WCer can make everything at 1000 skill (albeit with some material losses), an ACer requires 1100 skill to be in the same position.

Costs to skill a WCer to 1000 and ACer to 1100 are roughly the same.

I was replying to Bellona who said that AC would probably cost 18-24p to reach 1000 which, from what I have been told, it doesn't. I wasn't comparing them in terms of value or whatnot...just that AC is a lot cheaper than WC. :p

Sigh.

Again: AC to a useful level (1100) and WC to a useful level (1000) cost virtually the same.

For any valid comparison AC is not cheaper than WC.

spent 22.5 plat to get to 1049 in SC
17.8 plat to get 1043 in WC
10.8 plat to get 1115 in AC (not tailoring)

tailoring no idea was done as i lvled feac

Interesting Feac, but hardly fair comparisons.

Dont suppose youve got the numbers for 1k SC and/or 1015 WC?

Skilling a SCer just now (6xx, far too slow - as expected ;) ) and I expect Ill get around to doing a weaponcrafter at some point.

sc was 17.1 to 1001

didnt realy keep a close eye on WC

reading on here and VN boards i was very unlucky with SC but lucky with WC all depends how lucky you are when skilling up,

Yeah 17p for SC does seem a little higher than many peoples numbers.

I expect WC to be significantly cheaper with patch changes - since losing (typically) 1 metal bar is far less expensive than losing 1 blade or hilt. We'll see how it works out :)
