It is the newbie again,

I have joined the spellcraftersguild. This means that I can make magic gems if I have got it right. I can raise the skill by using the skill. What do I need to make a gem and how hard is it and how good is it?

Hi, first of all, are you a first-time crafter? If so you need to learn how to put your crafting icons onto your q-bar. Then you rightclick on an item to see it's ingredients list. General crafting info for a first time crafter (albeit example is not SCing) is found here:

Also, you have the official SC calculator, which gives you details on what gems gives you what bonuses, found here:

SCing is an easy craft in itself, you just find something orange/yellow, craft it until it gets blue, then change Expect to go at least to 800 skill, then you can make most gems needed for a lvl 50-sc template, however with no overcharge. If you want to be able to make lvl 50-sc templates with overcharge, go to 1000+

I only went over 800 to make level 50 focus gems

Doing a full set of level 50 armour, weapons and spares I found quite stressful. Plus when you go to bed all you can hear is ding ding ding ding and your finger twitches

Stressfull, but.. rewarding At least I am paying the shirt off my back every time I remake my SC, but being a crafter myself, I don't complain, it's timeconsuming work doing a whole sc suit for a lvl 50 char.
