Speedhacks?

Would they invovle still running at the same speed even tho DDed? stuned or mezzed?

(And yes I know it wasnt lag cause it happened 3 times over and the 3rd time I followed the char (am a minstrel) )

The "speedhack" could be people getting piperspeed in the housing zone, then having luck on a quick port to BG and still have the speed for a few minutes.

Hmm. You should lose the effect as soon as you are in combat tho just like Hastener speed.

well first I attacked her, DD DD then mezz and she just kept running...

SO I thought hey lag or whatever, waited around at the spot where I mezzed her for oh, 1 min? and she didnt pop back

Then I ran into her after, same thign again..

Then the thrisd time I DD DD mezz, she kept running tried stunning but still kept running, so I followed... then she obviously didnt see me follow as she stoped to cast a hot... and I killled her, pretty far away from where I originaly mezzed her on the start of this 3rd fight...

So I guess Im reporting then?

Oh and it was Demzilla (mana mental) btw, if you want to answer for yourselves?

sprint isnt speed 3 nor does it allow you to not take effect from beeing mezzer or stunned.

resist will still get you into combat you YOU WILL LOSSE SPEED

Hmm, if you dd dd mez stun etc. you would have put yourself in combat mode. Meaning about 10 seconds from your last action before you could get speed going. At speed 3 this "speed hack abuser" would have been out of clip range by then. So if they were at perma speed 3 how did you manage to follow them?

Yes i did, so you're saying they ran off in a straight line (would have to be if you were able to follow once they left clip) ignored 2 dds, mez and a stun. But when you caught them casting a hot they didn't just run off again?
If they were using speed hack don't you think they would have just run away at their perma speed 3 when you attacked again?

I just wanted a general opinion about wether or not it could be something else.

But so far noone has any other (supported) sugestions as to what happened, hence I am reporting.

You caught up to him from out of clip range and dded before he could cast a hot?
This backs up the theory i was going to put forward (tho i felt lile poking at your story first, blame boredom before having to go to work )
A couple of weeks ago my isp had a bad patch for a night, I was getting constant red/yellow in the centre box and 3-6 second delay on casts. I was trying to play my druid, but without great success as from the point i noticed someone going down to the point the heal (even any instas) fired off the person was normally already dead. Not fun.
Anyway, the point of the example, whenever i got any tanks on me, i did my usual attempt to start sprinting away as they closed. I noticed that i seemed to be able to get away from them with ease, even when i was hit by one, the same 3-6 sec delay occured before i lost speed.
I can't remember if i got mezzed/stunned at any point so I don't know how a delay would effect that. But i had no problems with sticking, wasn't lag running etc. just anything i did/was done to me seemed to have a set delay before it would occur.


Anyway, I remember speaking to Demzilla in game some time this week and he was complaining that the computer he was using atm only had 128mb of ram. I'm unsure whether lag caused by low ram gives a delay effect or not as i've always played camelot on 500mb+. But just for my theorys sake, lets say it does.

So, i think the first 2 times when you attacked the delay effect caused Dem to stay in speed for a bit longer, long enough to take him outside your clip range before he had any effect. Then the third time when you followed, you caught up to him after the speed dropped and he was trying to cast a hot. But as there was a delay from when he tried to cast it and when it started to cast, you had managed to close the distance enough to interupt it before he managed.

But anyway, i say report away (which is what you should have done in the first place if you had any doubts). Goa can check up on it in their logs etc. and discover the truth.
I'm only posting any counter arguments here because you chose to name the person in question, always the wrong thing to do imo as often in these cases i've found there can be a perfectly innocent explanation. But as soon as you have named someone, a lot of people will take it as fact that they are now a cheater despite what people may post after.
