Speccy or Vain

Right guys,

Who all amongst us fall into the above category.

Speccy (glasses) or vain (contact lenses)

Ive been wearing glasses for about...... erm since I was 5 years old so have got used to wearing them (went through the crap when I was younger- speccy 4 eyes, grampa and all that crap)

considered lenses for a while, but needed hard lenses cos of astigmatism.

Now, glasses dont bother me -

I don't need glasses, but I'll stick me oar in anyway. I reckon if go get a decent set of glasses that suit your head/face they can look really good, hence be better than contacts. Much less fiddly too.

I've only been wearing gegs for about 1 year now but I don't think I could ever put any crap into my eyes. I'm too soft
I think the last post was right though - as long as you take care choosing your glasses it don't make you look like a four eyed twat

Wore glasses, then lenses, now glasses again. Ditched the lenses after I got me girlfriend and I guess I care less about what I look like now. Mind you, I got a smart pair of glasses that suit me much better.

Lenses made my eyes really tired toward the end of the day.

In conclusion then - speccy and vain.

Hey! That's my ladee!

Wore lenses when I met her then got lazy and started wearing glasses. Then we both shopped for a decent pair (ie she picked some out and made me buy them).

Now I'm just a speccy twat and only wear the lenses if I'm in a play.

My specs enhance my vision. I have the equivalent of a GeForce3, you have a standard onboard ATI Rage II.

If you include brain power, I have a 1.7GHz P4, you have a 286.

worn glasses for abour 10 years now, mostly always had designer frames after entering secondry school, some real nice frames out there ya know... atm got addias ones


I also recently started wearing contacts, them use for a month and then throw away ones... damn good they are... well nice.

its so much better with contacts, although they aint good for up close work and stuff. But contacts are good if you are going out, if ya just messing about at home have specs on... best of both worlds then...

worn glasses since i was 13, now 15, so 12 years... trialled lenses for a fortnight, couldn't get on with them, preferred wearing glasses (even if they do look shit), because of ease really.

I got myself a nice set of Police frames, titanium...well since Iwear them so much its worth spending the extra for a quality pair

Bit concerned tho, they make my vision a LOT clearer, but they give me a headache after 20 mins or so. Maybe its because I've never worn them before...

I wear glasses cause I tired contacts once. Took about 1 hour to get em in, felt sick, snot running out my nose and felt like grit in my eye. Glasses will do me fine. I get em cheap anyway cause my mum works for optican.

They're either too strong/weak for you, but it's more likely that you're not used to them yet - whenever i change my lenses (not very often), i tend to get headaches for a day or two after, i think it's probably a pretty common thing.
