spearman's rank quick q (will take 2 secs to answer)

If for example, I have two numbers which are the same and can't be broken up into a bigger and smaller one because they are whole numbers (i.e - 1 person & 1 person) - do I just rank them as the same number?

Edit - I've read from a questionnable source they will both become x.5 because they take up two ranks but are the same number. Can anyone confirm?

they remain the same rank, i know for a fact

however the next rank will be the number lower i.e 1,1,1,4 for example.. although im not sure.
