I can fly ------ I just cant DO anything constructive once I am :)

As for boarding enemy carriers -- well it may not be realistic but i think it adds fun ---- and Im speaking as someone who spends 99% of their time on Coral Sea aboard my home carrier defending. I shoot down enemies and just keep an eye out for parachutists. It just adds an extra element to defence.

You can't continously repair with an engineer, once his charge has run out you have to wait for him to recharge before he can continue, I believe the repair points and hangers should operate the same way. I also believe they should only recharge when they are vacant. (example: you drive your damaged tank onto the repair point, the repair point uses all its charge repairing you and will only start to recharge itself once you have moved off it).

Well seeing as they can't be bothered to fix the problem with NMEs repairing in your own repair bay I doubt they will change it to this :)

I often do this, spend the entire game as an engineer on carrier defence.

There is nothing, I repeat, nothing, more satisfying than shooting down a plane, watching the pilot bale out, then getting out your trusty rifle and picking him off in the water or as he lands on the deck.

Don't try and be clever and pick him off in mid-air, he'll probably shoot at you with his little spludge-gun, better to use the AA gun for that :eek:

Normally on coral sea I spend most of my time doing CAP over the carrier, or setting up a perimeter about half-way between the two carriers and patrolling there.

Loads of kills gained from silly pilots intent on having a nice slow straight run into the carrier bwhahahahahaah

How about if you had to get out of the tank in order to repair it on the repair bays?

Nah don't think that would work as people will just steal it. On one of the maps I landed my bomber (which was on 1 bar of health) got out to repair it and a team mate came running over, jumped in and took off, the funny thing is I didnt even land at the airfield I landed in the middle of no where :(

Yeah you have to analyse the thought process of the average bf1942 player...

<Sees a tank>

"OMGZ A VEHICLE. I MUST GET IN!!!! QUICK!!!"

<Sees the guy standing next to it with a spanner>

"HA HA HA N00B DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO ENTER VEHICLES!!! I GET IN BEFORE HIM HA HA!!"

<Jumps in and sees the guy with spanner running after him>

"OMG HE'S TRYING TO STEAL IT!@!@!@! FULL THROTTLE!!!!!"

<Switches to rear view cam and fire shells at the engineer>

"HAHAHAHA N00B!"

<Drives into wall>

Its even better on FF servers because..

(in the format of cask)

"OMG he stole my tank"

<Jumps in jeep and overtakes tank>

"i'm gonna teach this bastard a lesson"

<drops mines infront of tank and watches tank blow up>

"that will teach you to steal my tank loser"

<<<adams901 has been kicked from the server>>>
