It was an excellent series...I rate Gods of the Arena as the best of the lot, closely, and I do mean closely, followed by Blood & Sand. Vengeance & Damned, meh...I could wait 5 years before I re-watch those. Gods of the Arena is extremely re-watchable.

Excellent finale although I thought they'd go the way of the film, with the once-Roman-but-now-slave woman producing an heir.

I hope the same team get their mitts on something similarly epic.
