But me & my dad have had a brain wave.

I go to college full time, and college doesn't pay very much and im always skint. So what if i printed some flyer's off and posted them around to all the old biddies and people that would be interested in....

Just plain old cutting lawns, planting plants, strimming hedges and basic gardening. Say £7 a hour and i could spend 2/3 hours on each garden and i'd bring the tools.

Theres loads to work on but you get the basic idea. Do you think in your opinions that this would work, every weekend and stagger the gardens so theres a constant little flow of dosh coming in, even if it's £30 a weekend i could live off that.

Or burn out completely.

But, as such, not a wonderous idea but it's good enough for it's intended use. If you get people to pay that is.

You know what could generate money? Those sites that pay you to do certain things like click ads etc, and give you more for each buddy you added etc. So with a sh*tload of people doing that, setting up macros etc we would be rich in no time!!! I tried that before, set up a macro and let it click etc and earned a good 50 bucks after a while. But it got boring so i quit xD The one that gets all the bonuses from having all the other people macroing can split it even. Im sure this could earn a hefty sum after a month or so. Even if it only was 200 bucks each or so.

Don´t know what you mean exactly by that. But i was thinking: You get a certain amount of money per time or ad. This amount is doubled or whatever depending on how many people you have invited and how much they click ads etc. But everyone uses a macro program and afks all day, im sure there are some sites that can benefit from using a macro to do the job. (Probably against the rules to macro, but... SCREW THE RULES)

no old biddie on standard pension is gonna fork out 7 quid to get their lawn done if they can bug the grandkids to do it for free unless you live in a pretty rich area, 7 pounds is quite alot of money to pensioners. try get some evening work in a cafe or restaurant etc i did college full time for 3 years and worked in wilkinsons for the duration on the evening team shelf filling 6-10pm and a sat and sun if i could, or get a weekend job 16 hours on minimum wage is about 80 quid a week

Hi mate,

I'm a nigerian prince and have 1 million pounds I need to remove from my account for tax purposes.
If you send me your details and let me move that million pounds into your account then afer 6 months i'll take half of it back and you can keep the other half.

Either pm or post your account information here so I can transfer the funds..

Thanks..

Lets see if he falls for that one as well :drink:

Doesn't sound daft to me mate.. Helping others and making some hard earned cash is a good thing!

Go for it mate! You might even meet a hot housewife, who will be in need of you mowing both her lawns

The idea is solid, but as some have already mentioned, I much dout you'll get away with 7£ pr hour :s

and well tbh as I'm guessing here that no one exactly intends to inform the tax offices about you transactions, aflik 4-5£ would be very viable ?

Good idea mate, hedge trimming and lawn mowing is the best option tho. I would avoid weeding/planting incase you pull the wrong stuff up etc. :) Its also very tiring.

We used to pay a hedge trimmer to cut ours at the front of the house. Was an easy job and i'm guessing my parents probably gave him £5-£10 to do it tbh.

dont see why it wouldnt work
might be worth checking out local prices/nationwide prices for such a thing
might be worth lowering it to a fiver or something, its more of a round number and dosent normally require the client to split notes/get change

when i was on my A level/foundation course i worked at royal mail part time, £7.20 an hour. i had four hours actual employment at 6am on saturday, but i always did overtime when i could. i didnt get that EMA thing that you are getting (if that is it?) and i soon saved up a fair bit of cash, enough to go to chicago as a matter of fact.

good luck getting some extra money!

I have done the same thing myself in the past when i was studying. I used to drive down to Maidstone in Kent and drive about looking for big fook off houses with gardens that had not been looked after.

Knock on the door and offer to landscape it for them. Charged £500 a time and the longest job i ever did was 4 days. You can rent all the machines that you need from HSS iirc.

Just dont finish the work too quickly as they wont pay you the full amount as they will think that you havent done too much work.

Good luck with it and always remember that this type of work is always better being done for the rich as they have the money to cough up and probably too fooking lazy to do it themselves.

It's probably better to buy a domain and start a pornsite(yes). Almost all big existing pornsites lends out their albums in exchange for hotlinking to the originals. Every registered member on the original site you refer gives you part of his payment.

There were some people on the SomethingAwful forum who tried this a few years ago, one of them still does it today and runs a site generating $30k a month. Yeah, it takes time to get that high but most others went in plus after a few months/weeks depending on how good they were at making their sites and getting interesting enough materials.

Sadly can't link you the thread on that forum as they are currently closed for public and registration costs cash.

I suppose it takes alot of effort tho, but well worth it.

It's actually quite funny how "easy" you can make money. Heck, write a book, and it might become the next hairy potterer.

All it really takes is effort and time.

Obviously, the guy who makes $30k a month stopped working and spends about 2 days a week updating his site. The other people maybe spent 20min-1h a day on theirs, if that.

But yeah as Toht said, aslong as you take your time you can earn money(hell look at the Eragon writer, wrote a fantasy book when he was 15 and now he's a millionaire).

thx for the support.

Yeah maybe £7 is abit much but the price is negotiable and that would be sorted further down the line.

My dads proper green fingers, his gardens really nice and all that so he said he'd train my up how to do certain things.

I'd get a job in a pub or something but it's summer and i want to be outside instead of washing dishes, but im not fussy.

Don´t settle for small cash. You gotta think big, think "outside the box" (to sound daft...)

you forgot to add the luck element to that

Well, not really, if you're any good at writing.

Like, have an actual idea instead of writing "rabble rabble rabble terrorist!", or the new Grisham.

But yeah, luck might be part in getting a publishing house that actually is interested at your cr*p at that cr*p unfulfilled moment.

I wouldn't have the first clue how to even start a story.

fettoken my son, i don't really want BIG, thats why im at college to get a career and do something with my life, a couple of quid to keep me coming through college would help.

But hey, don't get me wrong i'd like £500 for re turfing somebody's garden or something like that.

Laddy,

If i can suggest some other stuff that people generally want a hand with and you may be able to benifit from providing these services also:

-Cleaning windows/cars (old people don't climb ladders and the water plays up with bone disorders)
-returning library books (if its on your way then why not offer to take any books they have back, a lot of our customers always phone in to renew their books when its a bit chilly or raining because they cant make it out)
-taking the bins out (now that most people have got about 6 different bins and they are quite big and cumbersome its an idea)
-cleaning out gutters, probably a bit clogged from autumn/winter by now, all you need is a ladder and a trowl and a bag for the crap you get out.

these are just a few ideas and if you do get any customers it might be nice to give them a form to fill in so they can list any additional stuff they need you to do, probably not just old people but disabled and people with kids never seem to have time to do anything either. but it might be worth just going to your local nick and getting police checked so that you can say youve had it done, lots of people are loathe to trust anyone these days.
