i recently formatted my HD, and since doing this i have been getting bad ingame sound. i do not have this problem with any other application, or when the mythic logo apears after the autoupdater is done. my sfx card is an onboard VIA sound device, and has worked previously (before the format) ive checked a few of the settings (device manager, multimedia) but cannot seem to fix the issue. i am also using the same drivers as before the format, so it is not driver related.
on another note, formatting my HD happened because of a recent issue i was getting in all games. games would seem to pause briefly like something was working in the background (i know this was not the case) and ocasionally my mouse and keyboard would stop responding (and continue to loop the action that was being performed at the time, eg walk forward). when this happened i would not be able to do anything but hit the reset button. i formatted my HD thinking it was a application or driver conflict, but the problem still occurs (with limited programs installed). i have been into bios and set it back to factory defaults after i formatted and still had the problem, but this has failed to help aswell. does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
