Don't apologise for anything, you did your best.

If anyone is giving you any grief just go berserk on thier ass, usually works fine for me.

A few hints for next time you hold a raid (don't be put off by this one):

- Be strict but fair when it comes to sorting rules/groups/prereqs;
- Be clear about all aspects of the raid, lotto, waiting for LD's, preclaim issues, etc;
- If you're not experienced with a certain ML (step), make sure you have people to assist you (arrange those upfront or it can get messy during raid);
- Don't be afraid to say no;
- If people give you stick, return the favor, you're the boss;
- Learn all you can about the ML's upfront. It's not nice to have someone inside the BG that's being a bitch to you, but if he's a bitch and he knows the ML better than you, it eats away at your authority.
- Be VERY vigilant about lamers and people not turning in drops, or cheating on rolls.

Now in my opinion people that try to lead an ML raid and have trouble with it should get help, not be stomped into the ground. Me and tiarta tried to help you during raid and it worked. We also made sure you stayed in charge at times where it went a bit wrong .

You basically made 1 mistake before raid ( the ML2 sticky has info smeared across 5 pages, which should be compressed into 1 post. Although freddyshouse is partly to blame for having those odd edit rules) and
2 mistakes during the raid. 1: you werent vigilant enough when it came to collecting drops. 2: you weren't enough prepared for some of the steps.

You mentioned you wanted to do a ML3 raid. By all means do it and don't be put off by people giving you crap (99% of those people don't spend the energy to organise anything in the realm). But ML3 is NOT an easy ML to do with public random people. It varies from nasty to total hell. Private or alliance raids work much much better.

Anyway, cheer up, albion can't afford to lose any people that take initiatives.

And in the end everyone completed their ML2 raid, which is what counts.

i hosted a open ml2 raid... posted on the FH that there would be a max limit on noumber of ppl going with me... took 3 fg's with me... and left about the same on the doks in strygia... even today im still getting a PM somtimes from ppl pissed that i didn't bring them cause they are sooo uber... but might take the chance and hoste another ml2 soon... last 1 was friends only... no bloody flames after that raid

Don't worry about the whiners, you owe them nothing when all's said and done, if they don't like your raids they can run one themselves - maybe they will, alb/exc. could certainly use more people willing to run public MLs but the amount of abuse some people take over them makes you wonder why anyone would bother. Sorry I couldn't come to help. Hope if you do decide to do more raids they'll go smoother - Methos posted some good tips. And yes ML3 can be an utter slag so might not be the best choice for your next one if you're not feeling up to it .

Never take any notice of people who whine about raids. Like anything else in this game (or rl), we were not born with the knowledge.
Nobody's first raid went smooth, and I'm sure your next one will be better as you learn from your previous mistakes.

My first ML2 took 6 hours, and got loads of angry pm's. Lost 1fg in the process and had a full whipe at Runihura, got totally depressed, and decided never to lead an ML raid again. However, now, I'm waiting for my next character to ding 50 to try it again. Got to get it right sometime

You will ALWAYS find whinners, newbs and bitches at a public raid, anything els is simply impossible (close to anyway)
Let ppl whine as much as they want, but leading a raid is a piece of fine art.
Done a lotto with 70+ppl on ml3 oh hell i'm not going down that dungeon again

Now run another one as I still need it and am far too lazy to run one myself :worthy:

P.S. I've never complained on a raid yet, not even on failed ones, but then again I've never pm'd a thank you either. Maybe I'll start doing that
