Sorc spec

Hiya all,

just wanted to start a discussion over the various sorc spec's that are around and their function within a group or set group.

on my sorc i am going 39body / 37 mind

this give me:

- yellow aoe mezz
- yellow group crack
- middle-o-the-road damage varience on base life tap (400+ on enemy)
- yellow aoe root
- yellow cold and heat debuffs
- gives abilty of ml9'd level 50 pet

now there are other specs around:

44 mind - rest body
-gives red aoe mez (72s vs 59s)
- give -10% mezz reduction
- gives red aoe str/con debuff
- lvl50 pet ml9''d
- crap damage varience (280+ on enemy)

or 46 body / 28 mind
- excellent damage varience
- blue mezz (problem with mezz landing unless u have mof4)
- excellent heat and cold debuff
- yellow aoe root
- still only yellow dex/qui debuff
- no level 50 ml9'd pet

so what do fellow sorc's feel? how would u spec and also to group leaders / runners what spec are you looking for in rvr

start with 39b/37m and at highre rr's either go 41m/33b would prolly chose 46b/28m or what it is

EDIT: mof4 is a overkill on 46b/28m imo mof2 will do just fine

Im more fun of body spec but.....

it goes to 47 body rest mind u get 2 dex debuffs that somehow its a payback to spiritmasters and all things around mind spec and the overpowered ml9 yellow pet its true yes but u wont have a lvl 50 pet always near u to charm and if i remember right u dont have much of a chance to go outside beno without got killed in ur try to get a lvl 50 pet so conclusion for me is .... you must use the pets dont let the pets use you ..... so for me definatly 47 body

and why not sometimes split spec for a laugh

ofc if u want groups etc split spec is the best no way to gimp urself to red mezz if u dont have a regular rvr group that u wont log ur sorc if they arent there

i hope u understand some of my text when writing fast i make mistakes ^^ well anyway gl with ur spec

Sometimes in the past i run as the only sorc in groups with only blue mezz well in the end of the day with a body sorc u realize that mezz is just a button........ DEMEZZ!/Purge/Determination/Charge or.... the only true meaning of it ur first card against other group and INTERRUPT!1

imo , in a FG, sorcs arnt there for dmg, there there for constant mezzing, and interupting, which is why i like my 44 mind / 31 body spec, but thats just my opinion. thxs.

I like 39b/37m a lot, as the dmg is fine and mezzing works a lot better than at 45b/29m. The only downside to me is that you're sort of stuck with the baseline lifedrain, rather than the 45 spec dd, so you use a lot more power.

39b/37m is a nice spec tbh, but as a low rr sorc you defo won't be nuking other enemies for 400+ w/o debuff

The 44 mind spec doesn't only increase the duration of the mezz it also increases its radius to 400 which is for me a must have as a group Sorc.

I would've said the same, but this guy only recently forced me to spec 46 mind.

Im speced 39b/36m(since 49.5), will stay with that spec until rr5, then respec to 44m 31b.

I would say that 39b/37m is a better spec at low rr, but at higher rr when the variance aint that big, spec 44m/31b.

-The blue mezz spec is just shit in always.

nuking is interrupting and a form of cc as u cant move when dead

was 39 body specced low RR but took a while to get the skill to land a good mezz with the 350 radius yellow mezz, respecced RR5 to 44mind 400 radius mezz lands ALOT better and gets whole grp without too much trouble

i dont have aoe dot

my NS is grey but well used and aoe disease + aoe snare is nice

31 body rest mind. (Which is 44..? or 46?)

Group sorc are for mezzing/interrupting and debuffs, which works really well.
Highest mezz = large AoE which helps and less resists.

high mind if you want to help the group you run with.

Yellow pet for PvE, 47 body for RvR. Damage is the best form of interrupt. Single target mezzes/roots work too.

Gonna disagree with you there sparky, dmg is a form of interupt but it is not the best form of interupt.
