179.99?

Fuck off. Seriously.

We get it 9 months late and pay too much.

I shall more than likely import mine after hearing that snippet of nonsense.

It's 179.99 for the Value Pack, rather than just the standard PSP pack, which tbh fares quite well against current import prices. You'll be looking at 164 to get the same package imported from Lik-Sang and you very well might end up getting landed with VAT and custom charges.

£180 is a damn sight better than the £250 mooted originally.

I'd be happy to pay that, but I'll wait and see what exactly is on offer at retail.

Ah well, my birthday's in Sept, so that's as good an excuse as any :)

Remind me - what's the deal with importing PSPs. Can they play any region games/psp movies? Also, what about the power supply - can you just buy a UK one or do you need a transformer etc.

Games - Any region.

UMD films - Region locked. Japanese will be R2 (same as UK). Canadian/USA is R1. A moot point if, like me, you are not going to buy UMD films. I plan to chuck all of that onto a 1Gb Mem Stick Pro and watch it off that.

Power Supply - The PSP charger unit is able to switch voltage. You can either buy a shaver adaptor plug and use the supplied lead or use a standard figure 8 style power lead. (The same as your Sky Box, XBox, PS2, Portable Boom box...etc... etc...)

Gonna upgrade this PC before I buy this though - it's in more dire need of a new CPU/Mobo/Memory etc.
