Songs you wish you could change, but keep the same..

Okay, that sounds weird. But I'll explain; using one of the best examples that I can think of.

I'm a big fan of The Eagles, and one of my favourite songs (dun dun dun) is Hotel California... NOW, I have this song Live (Acoustic) and the studio version.

I love the acoustic SO much more than the studio version, BUT BUT BUT the ONE thing that I hate about it (yes, I know it's ACOUSTIC) the song is that the guitar solo isn't in it. The one from the studio version.. If the live acoustic set had this guitar solo in it, I'd be a very happy person.

I'd like to change, but keep the same:

Hotel California - The Eagles

(Adding the electric guitar solo to the live acoustic version)

Saucerful of Secrets by Pink Floyd, with all the self-indulgent shit taken out of it, and edited (from about 20 minutes) to the 5 or 6 minutes of absolute brilliance in there.

Live Umma Gumma version of course.

Take the stunning guitar solo from Iron Maiden - Quest for Fire, and put it into any other song that doesn't have such stupid lyrics :E

Or listen to one of their live versions (the version on Pulse is my favourite - lasts about 3 times longer). Awesomeness.

This thread has just made me go back to listen to Saucerful of Secrets and Hotel California (slightly extended version) and now I'm going through all the songs that I really like that I feel I shouldn't, such as Biding My Time (Pink Floyd - Relics) which has an excellent trombone and guitar solo at the end, and loads of Al Stewart
