Songs best sung loud

I was at work the other night (it's not a brothel) and the DJ was having a big reminisce (sp?). He played a lot of old stuff, and when some of these songs are sung by a group of 1300-1500 ppl (in harmony, mind) they take on a sort of anthomesque quality and sound abso-fucking-lutely brilliant. The two that sounded best in my opinion were Bohemian Rhapsody (he played the entire song, and the crowd sang along all the way through) and Wonderwall. Two classics, it was bloody brilliant. Add some to the list if you've heard them and understand where I'm coming from on this one.
That is all. :)

Not 100% sure on the title, but "When I come around" by Greenday is excellent when its loud.

(incidently, if anyone has seen the video, the one with all the mud, I was at that gig in the States :D )

I'd say pretty much anything by Oasis; they have a knack at making songs you just want to sing along to down the pub with your mates... I think Bodhi pointed that out a while ago.

On a cheesier note, 'Tubthumbing' by Chumbawamba - classic :D

I completely agree with Bodhi, if indeed he said it (I also have a hazy memory of him defending Oasis thusly in that music section thread). Champagne Supernova, The Masterplan, Talk Tonight (to a lesser extent), Don't Look Back In Anger, Flashbax (All Around The World B-Side), All Around The World... the list goes on. All of these are eminently singable. :)

Also, 3 Lions in a football stadium is great as well. :)

As I am obviously much older than you lot you should consider yourself lucky you have decent songs that become "anthems", having been conditioned on a vocal diet of Hi Ho Silver Lining, the very idea of huge crowds singing together abhors me.

"that era" being the one where the entire top 40 was made up of original songs ? yes, unfortunately, and it was not that long ago either.

It's by House of Pain isn't it? Cypress hill did a track with a similar sample, but was called 'Insane in the Brain' iirc.

The 2 songs I've ever heard sung the loudest have been (obviously) in a pub / club in the 2am kinda timeframe... : Frank Sinatra - My Way & New York, New York... go figure...
