now i know this is probably a very common thing, but err i find certain songs remind me of certain moments, for example (for some bizarre reason) Leave by REM reminds me of playing Medieval Total War (sad yes but true), Country Roads Hermes House Band version reminds me of being in spain and everytime i hear Cool Jul from some random christmas tv show i feel about 10 years old, only reason i mention it is those three songs came up on my playlist one after the other and i ended up feeling like a ten year old drunken fool in spain playing MTW very strange indeed....

also im bored at work >.<

I get this if I listen to a particular song a lot while doing something. Listening to Muse reminds me of soloing with my Reaver in Shrouded Isles in DAoC :p

listening to Shine On You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd reminds me of my first time taking hallucinogens because i kept listening to it.

listening to Rage against the machine reminds me of seeing them during the summer

listening to the rolling stones' Gimme Shelter reminds me of sitting on the balcony in the south of spain in the sun - the first time i heard the track and loved it straight away

listening to led zeppelin (sometimes) reminds me of the first time i heard them, taking a walk through the scottish countryside feeling really stoned

listening to system of a down reminds me of playing guildwars - i was unemployed and not in education at the time and played it all day while listening to their discography

several other songs remind me of individuals because we both share such a great love for that song, or because they introduced me to it.

Hah yeh;

Fenix TX - Beating a Dead Horse = First few days of DAoC at my mates house. He'd just got this new fangled "mp3" player which was bigger than a CD player and held lots (!) of songs. Reminds me of walking around emain as a level 11 Armsman, begging for 30g so I could buy some black dye
The same with some Alkaline Trio.

Protest The Hero - Kezia album = 2nd (and best) year of uni.

Funeral for a Friend - History = was kinda my 'anthem' for the first year of Uni or so. Me and some mates saw them at Brizzle in early '06 and sat up all night after the gig with 'Casually Dressed...' album on playing a World Cup tournie on some footie game, and then a few hours of Smash Bro's

Good times.

Ha yes, you know that song "Back to life, back to reality..back to life..hmm hmm hmm dee doo dee" well that always reminds me of being hideously violently car sick when I was a nipper and then it brings back the smell of the disgusting smokey BMW driven in an awful way by my father and me going "I'm gonna puke" and him telling me it was all in my mind, then the song playing and then it was all oven the back seat ha!

and whenever I hear that song I smell the horrrible car smell and it actually does make me feel physically sick, wierd eh?

Springsteen's "Born in the USA" reminds me of "Banned in the USA" by 2 Live Crew which was the first song I played on my brand new Hitachi stereo system back in umm 1990 I think, or was it 1991? One of those. :)

I got the stereo on special offer and for very cheap (still took my whole salary from the previous summer job). They had only 10 for sale, and people were queueing outside the store for the offer. At first I didn't get it as I was number 11, but one guy had changed his mind later, and the store phoned me up and said it was mine! YAY!!!!

And ewww Ez! :p

Ravel's Bolero reminds me of a shit film with Bo Derek and Dudley Moore.

Ceremony New Order, reminds me of walking 2.5 miles to work on cold winter mornings wearing my Splashdown Offshore Sailing Jacket. Back in the day when I knew what a Spinnaker and foredeck was. Mate used to pass me in his car going the other way. Said they could see me a mile away due to the reflection from the headlights from the Jacket. I enjoyed the walk and hated buses.

Talking Heads - Girlfriend is Better was playing in the car when the Mrs phoned and said her waters had broken! Six hours later and after a very traumated emergency op, where I was close to loosing both mother and child, my son Alex was born.

Very sad

But Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah reminds me of the time we set up a pug, jumped on vent, with music bluring in the background and roaming around Hadrians as a FG, finding 3 FG's and burning them too the floor :D:clap:

If we had children together, they'd be fuckin hideous Corknose!

On the other hand, if I could have them on my own, they'd be beautiful!

Well his mum certainly felt the spark as she molested that poor unconscious horse :(

Argh, I've got such a cruel joke :( But I'll get banned and probably hunted down IRL by him :D So isn't worth it, but I'm laughing! :(

Also, DAoC theme music wins this thread. :( *may put it on phone for memories* ... Hmm.. A troll dieing as my text alert might get me some funny looks o_O

Am I the only person who ever solod (By solod.. I meant having 10 other ungrouped seers around me healing me constantly..) a knight (the big fucker who liked roaming near mid-xroads) with a Shadowblade? :( I got bored, made a "OMG HELP AND HEAL ME" macro, then attacked it.. Took a while. :D
