I went onto a duel server this afternoon as the CTF servers were just about empty.I had waited 10 minutes and I was next in line to play,the scores for the game that was running at the time was 12 to minus 1,then someone called azreal (or very close to that name and I know his nationality was german) came onto the server...................straight away he voted for a kick and managed to kick himself...............he then returned did another vote kick which imediatly went through (though only one person voted,himself) and I was kicked from the server.
I went straight to #bwadmins and reported it (as per usual no one from EF was there) I then returned to the server to see if any admin showed up.......................no-one showed up.
This is the third time this has happened to me in 5 days,my point is if no admins are going to be about for this kind of thing (yes i know they do it for free and can't be on 24/7 and I respect them for that) then the vote kick should be removed from servers,it's rare that you have to kick someone for foul play anyway and the only people who use it are these lame people who just can't wait to play.

Please someone do something about this as it's getting very annoying!

lol and I know it's nothing personal because I will normally change my normal EF name on duel servers just as I did this time.I bet alot of people have had this done to them but don't know about these forums or #bwadmins.even so it's slightly stupid having it on there in the first place.................BW should of know that it would only get used for the wrong reasons

Hmm ..... getting vote-kicked sux bigtime.
It should be possible to remove only the 'kick' flag from the vote-list.
Hope some1 from BW will look into it.

well vote kicking isn't bad if it's done for the right reasons,like for example if you get a airwalker or something.but being kicked for being next in line to play is rather lame

Sheesh, like they're a problem! I've walked the sky for fun & profit many a time - well, it was just for fun, as I always got 0wnd bigtime by anyone with the savvy to look up occasionally. But I was really only doing it for a laff, ie mis-matched teams, practice the dancin' or just plain bored.

Airwalkers are like speedcops, if they catch you out you deserve what you get, esp. after the first time!

yeah,I'd kick an airwalker on a duel server if the others agreed,most people don't airwalk because they know it's lame and a cheap way to get a cap so really it's not a problem.

First, the guy may have used an old cheat on the kick vote (some players change vote the maps until there is only the people they want to play with)... Nothing can be done by admins if we don't have proof of that.

Second, explain to me how you can get caps on duel server, I am higly interested...

First,WTF so now we have to make demos everytime we play just for proof? This was a blatent kick just to get next in line.Whats the point of having public admins if they can't do shit?

Chances are that if anything happens on a public BW server and you report it to #bwadmins either no admin will answer you or you will have to have proof which is impossible unless you have efrec running all the time.

All i can see is that your post was just some way to try and make me look stupid becuase I kicked you from bwefl match admins.Especially as the post was made soon after that last mail was sent eh bp?Yet again a player gets public admin status and turns into an asshole.

Demos for action is the rule when not caught on the act by an admin... Ask anyone in #bwadmins buddy.

Exactly! you tried to change something that doesn't need changing!you also put a load of rubbish rcon commands that would never have to be used.Then not only that you put remarks about how the EFF was run and then sent it to all admins including head admins when two of the head admins run EFF and the other is very proud to be part of it.you knew it would cause offence but yet you still sent it.I had no need to tell you,you should of been able to work that out for yourself.directly arguing with head admins of a league isn't going to fair too well.

My remarks were not against EFF2 which I had great pleasure playing in, it was aimed to some lazy admins who would not try to type the commands I was giving them (2 lousy lines) when their beloved EFRec was crapped and couldn't record demos.
Result? No demos for 2 games in EFF. I told nap so and he gafvge me shit for 15 minutes in Yahoo so if you guys think demos of games are not important or even valuable for the competing clans... well... too bad.

I think you made your point clear that you kicked me because I have criticized YOUR friends and that it doesn't have anything to do with judgment. Gut feeling is that you want your league just like your friend nap. Sad widdy.

Fine nothing's stopping MAS from playing anyway.Never thought about hassling anyone? lol from the stuff i've heard in emails and seen on #IRC I think thats the biggest load of crap I've heard all year.
And it wasn't just me who thought your "improvements" we're dumb was it!,though really I shouldn't call them improvements because most would of caused problems.Like I said before all we wanted was basic commands(changemap,kick,timelimit etc),most know them but just for the people who may of never been an admin before or for those who just needed refreshing.But you had to do exactly the opposite.

Demos were recorded,just not put on the site.Basically you said that Napalm,Watcher,Myself,Onyx,Monty,phycho,R@ge,Fragfodder,Talon,RAA and paul (all people who have admin'd a match this season in EFF) didn't record demos because WE don't know how to use console commands.Bearing in mind that all three head admins and a vast majority of bwefl admins are in that list it caused a hell of alot of offence.I know for a fact all those admins listed above know enough console commands to run a match,and can also record demos.There was no wonder Nap was the way he was with you,I don't blame him.I then went and removed you from the admins list because of this and then you hassle Watcher so much it makes him want to Quit EF..................hell I can't wait to see what you put on that mail that made watcher want to quit EF!

well I have the demos of the matches that I did in EFF,anyone from the match could quite easily mail me or if not they would of asked Nap/watcher who would of then got in conatct with me.I have no idea why the demos aren't on the site..............maybe the amount of space they are allowed to use,maybe the size of the file,I'm not sure why but there must be a valid reason but it doesn't give you a right to moan about it.
Like I said I don't blame Nap for giving you shit,what goes around comes around.
Maybe another reason why demo were not put on the site was because some clans may not want other clans to see thier tactics previous to a match.I admin'd the RD match the other night and i did the =R= match earlier in the season.(Paddy) faced =R= in the QF but i didn't give (Paddy) any demos or tell them any tactics i may of picked up from admining the match.The same will go for the =RD= demo,why? because I wouldn't let myself do something as low as that.If they put the demo's on the site everyone can see everyone elses tactics and that would make the rest of the matches crap.

No we kicked you because you criticized the head admins,you did the same to the admins above.You hassled people via email after,you showed us that your attitude stinks hence kicking you.
bwefl doesn't want admins with attitude problems like yours as it could cause problems during a match.none of the other admins have acted like you have thats why they're still admins.
This doesn't have anything to do with judgement?thats why all head admins Judged it was best to remove you for the sake of the league.
Gut feeling is we want this league to run as smooth as possible,with you about that obviously wasn't going to happen.

Personally I think this topic should be locked (HINT HINT Starman) but I just want to say 1 thing to our new "public admin".

Er.......how exactly did I give you shit? All I ever said was Watcher had PC probs and couldn't risk recording demos at that time, also we have had demos from probably every other game, including 2 from most. I sent you some earlier this season. Oh, and I never even promised demos!

You have a go at people for not doing their jobs as you think they should, well BW public admins shouldn't kick players for no reason, change maps/mods to THEIR choice and should remain in the background, stepping in when needed. even though Nap may say he's left BWEFL he still hasn't handed in his official notice lol.so to me he's still an important part of the team and will remain so even if he does "officially" quit.he brought IMO one of the best and friendliest leagues around for a long time and I hope I can bring that into BWEFL as well.
