Hi my bunch of favorite people.

I've saved around £800 up in cash. Ready to go.

I shall head into town in about an hours time and hope to not come back with anything BUT A REALLY NICE something...

Don't know what. Was thinking an Iphone 4 but i love my blackberry to much.

Laptop maybe, but meh...My desktop does the trick fine.

Maybe an Ipod Touch for basic standard games, music etc when i have fuck all to do. So yeah...Not sure.

Guy i work with told me about the Ipad...I laughed hard. Why would i buy it when i could get a netbook cheaper and better performance etc.

Any ideas? I want somet new. Wanna spend some hard earned money but i have everything i need really :/ van, desktop pc, ps3, pspgo,psp1000 etc.

Any ideas? All the geeks must know of something.

Basically, a bit of a time killer. Music/Games but very portable.

Not much info, but post some links if you can guys. Just bored.

Appreciate it. xx

With that mney, you get a LOT of timekillers if you don't go the conventional "new tech" route, but go with "new crap for MY tech".

10 games for example would probably kill half of that money, leaving the rest to spend on 10 bottles of ok'ish scotch and still be left with a 100.

You'll ooh-aah at a new shiny piece of hardware for a day, two, maybe enjoy it a week, two, then it becomes part of your boring norm. Games you'll enjoy longer, you can have a helluva party to remember the rest of year(with like 200 of it, hit the club and enjoy).

The key point here being; spending money on new tech might be a practical thing to do, but it's surely not the most fun/memorable/long lasting thing you can do.

Just saying that 800 is a LOT of money, if you don't go with trend stuff. In jelly baby terms;

You could probablky get over a 1000 bags of jelly babies, that's -atleast- 30k of singular babies!

I understand!

I'm not a big drinker anymore. Especially not on a Tuesday! I have responsibilities and i'm so irresponsible after a drink.

if you don't know, leave it in your savings account </grownup>
-or-
spend a little of it for a priceless experience: stay overnight in a castle, a wtfawesome meal, or do something you never tried before
-or-
give all of it to me, and I will send you an email with a picture of me for 800 days!

Thanks for the input.

I have a default on my credit score from 2007. I was going to pay that, so i phoned Experian up and the guy basically said now its defaulted it wont make a difference wether i pay it or not. Because i'll have that default on my account until 2014 lol. So :/

My hairline is starting to travel to the back of my head...

Maybe hair implants?

Keep saving before you know it you have a couple of thousand in the account and you can start thinking about taking exotic holidays, nice cars. Dont just spend for the sake of bashing the money.

Fucking hell you've moved up in the world :p
I saw the light mate.

You just can't take life for granted. You don't know when it will end.

I'd trade everything for perfect health for my family. But it just wouldn't happen so i'm gonna work my tits off for as long as possible to provide happiness and comfort for them.

Thanks man! Because you do that, it means by all balancings of the universe, i don't have to!

So your responsibility balances my irresponsibility and vise versa :D

But what about an Ipod Touch for a time killer?

I'd try out games on your current mobile, they've come a long way since snake ;)

They are, to some extent, as much of timekillers as old amiga/early pc games. Not as much content though, more casual then anything.

If you can have with them(try some, cheap prices usually, can find some for as cheap as .50), can save that money for something else.

Also if you have a printer at home, there's loads of free to d/l books and such. Just print out and enjoy.

Or download some webcomics, same formula.

You could also go lower tech, which are dirt-cheap, instead of buying a hightech timekiller.

I think katt can say it best ;)
