Someone turn a light on pls

I've just returned from a WoW break and loaded up catacombs.

Bearing in mind that it is on the same machine that I played NF on without any problems, why the heck is everything so bloody dark all of a sudden. Its like playing Doom3 with the gamma turned down.

I tried farting around with gfx card (ATI 9800pro) settings to no avail so I've loaded up powerstrip as a 'fix'. But although that lets me turn up the brightness/gamma in-game it give everything a washed-out look.

Any clever people out there able to shed some light on this for me please (boom boom).

Oh..and no torch suggestions thank you very much.

Just a guess....

Is it dark if u load up via u previous catacombs engine..i.e ToA? U say your using the same machine but are u using same monitor? I went CRT to TFT and noticed it was a lot darker..outside of that,,dunno :touch: ...

I tried loading up the toa client and it was fine - no need for powerstrip.

Everything is identical in the pc including the monitor. Cata's just loads up really really dark. Its a royal pain in the arse tbh. :kissit:

try loading up when the sun aint on your screen?
