I can barely get myself to do anything here at workies. I'm on operations today, which means that watching our incident queue and not much more than that. I've just done my travel declarations for the first 6 weeks of the year, and am about to do my hours. After that I will have run out of boring tasks to do while keeping an eye on the queue.

on top of that I'm feeling poorly, and have a cold coming on.

I did things! updated the firmware on some fiber HBA to our spec, and I made a filesystem for some guy, only to have him change his naming scheme five times causing me to have to rename it 4 times :/
now I've tasked myself with the reading of email. 166 unread mails left to go

that's not only ops traditions a long time ago I was assigned to testing certain hardware configs with our unix builds. back then we installed off of cdroms and that would tend to take a few hours (fast at the time hehe), meaning I could lock myself in the lab and sleep

no, but I have to go into the bunker in a minute, and it's entirely possible that I still may manage to break something

after that I have to write a document for the security drones to chew on, and it's entirely possible that I may be a bit more sarcastic than I usually am. as it's much to do about NDA's and our external people, it may contain references to red-hot pokers, being burnt at the stake and other such gems
