Here's the next lvl 40 coming up :twak:

There's actually quite a few nearly 40 on Eight peaks, last night I checked we had over 10 people 30+, and i think 3 of those were 35+

Grats to them I say..

Like I said before, I don't think they have really missed out on much content, we have to be truthfull and consider that other than PQs and quests, there isn't an awful lot to do at lower levels.. Not everyone is a fan of instanced pvp

Well grats to them for world first, some people do take things like that seriously so in those circles it is a big achievement. Ofcourse it is missing the point of an MMO by doing it so the rest of us will just bump along having fun along the way.

Personally I will be more impressed by the first renown rank 80 guy, now THATS the real WAR world first achievement IMHO ofc.

I remember having a conversation with a swedish guildmate back when people still played WoW about which side was better. I put it to him that the alliance side was better to play on as the quests were structured around a storyline and generally flowed better making it less of a chore to play. To which he replied "I don't want storylines I just want gear".

Sadly it seems that same mentality has crossed over into War but hopefully it won't ruin the game like it did WoW.

Uh? WoW was a loot game to begin with just like Diablo 2. Blizzard even advertises their games as loot-games.

A hero (amongst some) now, forgotten in a couple of weeks.

Such is the hard life of an MMO'er :fluffle:

Still, regardless of what everyone thinks, I think it's a nice accomplishment. Your end-game will be non-existant though.

Dunno guess it will still be sort of fun. Will need some knowlege of the game and workout how to do it most effectively, like solving a puzzle. If you've got nothing better to do and have the time. Students must be on hols still atm.

Yeah? What's the difference, just a longer no-life-sprint?!

It's completely diferent as you have achieved something for playing the game a lot, not playing the game for less. The first RR 80/s will either have played the game an incredible ammount or played at a higher standard than most (or both) hence why it's a better achievement than someone getting rank 40 by bypassing most of the content and playing the game for less time than most.

I don't see what the issue is. I've been levelling rather hard (for me) and have got to lev20. For me it's a sense of achievement to get there so fast. These lev40s will feel the same way.

It's just a game, and they can play it how they want to play it as long as they have fun and don't ruin it for anyone else. If you moan that it's just sad or that they've missed the point of the game then you either have a closed mind or are just a little jealous.

OT: There is no polite way to ask this...but what happened to your sociopathic sig mate?

Dunno really, either moderated out or forum acting up (again) with the sigs. Will subscribe to FH and file a bug report (one day) ;-).
