My sound in Daoc does not work.

Works in other programs but as soon as i log on Daoc all sound is gone :(

/Edit: I tried Reïnstalling daoc and updated my sound card drivers.

Lowering hardware acceleration diden't help either.

LoL Aomi, but since if you read the original post he actually says that sound works in all other programs :)

Have you by any chance fiddled with ingame sound setup. Like turned all sounds to off in game or so? You can have different levels for: Music, Sound Effetcs, Ambient Sounds, Ambient Music. Or something like that. Best tip I can give, mayby they bugged from start somehow and all set to 0 even though you haven't touched em.

Nothing is turned to OFF.
Speakers are working fine in other games too.
It's just when I start up DAoC ... the second I start logging in the sounds 'flutters' and 'crackles' and before I even have my first view of Camelot World ... It is completely silent :(
When I restart PC the sound is back, when I log into DAoC ....it's flutter...crackle....silence !

Weird

I know this will sound bad, but here it comes. Have you tried contacting goa with your problem via rightnow(or NoWayAnytime or whatever the name was). Ofcourse it could be like any other support help. I got the nice tip, when I was playing Diablo 2 and having problems, to uninstall game, do complete scandisk (like 7 hours), do defrag (another 7 hours), reinstall game and check back if it didn't work. I did it multiple times even, sucked big time and didn't help for shit. The bug stopped happening when I bought more ram memory for my comp, hehe.
This might not help much but it earned me a new post and the chance to post totally irrelevant info and a boring anecdote. Enjoy! :)

Funny you should mention this Maghica, I had exactly the same thing happen to me today.
I lost every bit of sound except for the background ambient noise bits you get in the various places.

It sorted itself out when I zoned but it was quite seriously bizarre playing with no noise at all.
