So I have this game (cricket 2007) which worked fine on XP, but i've just installed it on Vista and I can't save it.

When you first load up the game you're asked to create and save a 'profile' that contains graphic settings, audio settings etc. In XP this was saved in My Documents.

Now when i try to save this in Vista I get the message 'Profile can't be saved', and i'm assuming this is because the game can't find the 'my documents' folder in Vista.

I've tried creating the folder manually, and running the game in XPSP2 compatibility mode.

Does anyone know if there is a workaround for such occurances?

(Also, BGII crashes when i try to put a weapon on Minsc, but that's a different story)

Tried without UAC ? Chances are windows is preventing the files from being created in an "unprotected" area. Vista can be a bit stupid ;)

Quick search shows you're not the only one. I imagine being an EA game it was probably released in 2006 rather than 2007, hence previous to Vista and it's many charms :D

I can't see any fixes from EA games, but have a look yourself see if you can find any official patches, patch it up and see what happens, otherwise you're just suffering with crapness from EA's behalf.

"Yeah, noone ever has their my documents folder anywhere other then c:\documents and settings\username\mydocuments"

:D
