Soloing?

Hi, i would like to hear only from people who have solo'd 90% or above to get where they are today, and how long its took them?

I soloed close to 42.5 levels and am currently 43.7 with my friar.

Took me 11 days played incl. RR2 and 500 tailoring; all epic quest incl. lvl 43 one is completed, also solo.

My theurg grouped almost everything and was 50 at 18d played. RR1 and no tradeskill.

It really ain't that bad for friar to solo

I also have a friar, what spec did you do? I tend to die alot which makes soloing a not very good idea, even when fighting things which are relatively easy, theres a good chance of death and 1 death at around level 30 loses you a whole bubble including releasing. Where did you kill at around level 30? That's the level of my Friar atm.

Hmm, didn't quite catch everything you were saying there, your saying you solod to 46? And then solod 48 to 48.5 and half of 49 also? You dinged with 55 days played? Presumably real time, not in-game time? Also you say you killed reds? What class are you?



Also i'd like to address the issue of what con monsters you can actually realistically kill. Most people say they can kill reds and oranges easily, but my level 50 RR3 Wizard can't kill reds without a serious risk of dying, sometimes even oranges can get to you and do serious damage, as for my friar, well - she dies from yellows half of the time, but is only level 30 at the moment, some people say Necros can kill purples in their early 40s but this, I highly doubt, as there is no way in hell their spells are going to do serious damage, nor can a blue con to them pet kill a purple to them mob, its just not right...

Catacombs and Dunters in Lyonesse later (round lvl 33 I think). I avoided mostly SI, however yesterday a lvl 42 guild-infil and me did entrance-mobs in AC (red to me).

SC'ed armour: I was at lvl 30 around 16-17 rejuv, 21 staff, 26~ enhance, very low parry (2,3) and SC'ed armour.


Not sure why you die, but SC'ed armour is easy to do orange, and for non-SC'ed yellow should be really possible.

crush weak skellies mean easy oranges for a friar, other good friar spot is the cliff crawlers north of excalibur...

grouping is fun but sometime soloing is just so nice, working at your own pace etc~ and i really believe that you get to know your char alot better that way

i took on moorlich (mage type mobs) they had weak hp str (killed them in 3-4 hits and red ones left me at just over 50%hps

the only thing i had to take care of was the DD they sometimes procced (1 dd took like 30%hps) but i think i only died once throughout that period. i was armsman yes but i used decent armor (orange or yellow con to me) and weapons

I solo'd my scout from lvl 1 to lvl 50 in 16 days, and 10 hours.
Right now she is at r4l8, with 45k rp till rr5.
Lvl's 46 till 50 I used a buffbot, doing trees in Pennine, and giving free rp's to all twat mids passing by.
Sorc was done in 15 days, but mostly grouped. Just easier with a sorc. Armsman was first character, and took more than 20 days.
Friars are good solo'ers, so you should be able to get around 16 days also.

Sish, you PL'd your scout at tanglers with Ciclya.
I thought you soloed to ~39 and then PL'd to 47, THEN soloed in pennines (mostly unbuffed iirc) to 50....

I soloed my cabby to 39,5 - had tangler grp to 41 and soloed the rest again.
/played 7days.

Then I made a infy with the cabby to 40 - /played 26h 43minutes And then I cryed myself to sleep :scared:

i love soloing my friar, lvl 30 atm after getting the staff haze u get for ur 30th epic outside barrows, i decided to nip inside to see if i could get any action, found the goblin whelps to be yellow/orange.. solo the yellows very easily sometimes they dont hit me even once, oranges can be tricky sometimes, usually oki if u use ur self haste, and u can zone out if fight isnt going ur way...

tips:

1) keep ur staff spec at ur lvl or higher with adds mine is 23+7 i think, haze helps here with its +4

2) my enhance is 25+ for precision dex/qui adder, twinked up with normal drops from DF my dex is 194 and my qui is about 145, this really helps evade rate and damage.

3) make sure ur using the backup styles... i use counter evade or defenders fury if i havent evaded the last attack, and follow up move for def. fury (u prolly know that, but i thought id mention it ) /cancelstyles to turn it on/off

4) keep downt time low after a fight: heal, end regen on, sit.... almost no dt

5) seek mobs weak to crush, love to hit skellys for uber damage a few lvls ago i could solo red giant skeletons outside catacombs with some luck

6) crafted hi qual staffs really help, slow ones use less end, fast ones have more chance to use evade styles off... swings and roundabouts

7) grps arnt that bad r they? being good at soloing is great whilst waiting for a grp, and allows u to wait for the right grp to come along... ie one with a rejuv cleric so u can tank but i do love being in a GOOD grp

solod my scout, without buffbot, took about 22 days. i was lucky tho, those 10% i did manage to get a grp, it was uber grps and i was lower then needed.
