Soloing hunting grounds

I like soloing (I also like groups!!!!! givf invite )

was wondring where to go with my two chars, havent been able to find a good spot with my level 21 champ, nor have I found the spot with my level 15 void caster (was thinking about sheevra's out in the silvermind's)


What would you poeple think of as a good soloing spot once you pased the magic 15 and/or 20 ?


btw why is the champ epic 15 quest so unfair, I meen still at level 21 they still con green to me the damn mobs I have to speak to and they hate me ;_;

Faerie drakes in Bri Leith should be good for your champ and most mobs around parth farm should be ok for the chanter.

I've been soloing a lot and I have had a great pleasure roaming around Innis Carthaig. If you’re not neutral with the siabra and land seelies yet, go beat some curmudgeons up in Lough Derg. Then go to Innis and kill Large Luch, Hill Hounds and especially Ghoulies.

Also being on neutral standing with the siabra makes your epic so much easier. Use your root spell to pull Macnoll and adds to the curmudgeon camp on the north-west side of the lake. Then they’ll be attacked by the curms and you can talk to Macnoll and then just walk away.

lol, you have it easy, I recently re-did it with an alt and was amazed at how much it's difficulty had been reduced. Never got round to doing the lvl20 part again, probably made that way too easy now too.. was funny before, now it's probably survivable too and no fun

I don't know if it is easier. I did the (level 20) again just after I dinged 24. As far as I am concerned getting killed just saved me a big long and boring horse-ride afterwards .

Actually when you think of it there is something not quite right with the design of these epic quests (imo) if that is what I think. I remember suiciding at the meruchas too, just a step or two before this because I just didn't like the prospect of spending the the time to horse ride from culraid to caille.

Actually, I wonder just how much time my character has spent just sitting on his backside either on or off a horse? I wouldn't mind so much except that I'm becoming a bit like Pavlov's dogs:

merc level 20 one is amusing

have to sneak into llyn barfog (past an arawnite messenger redcon with a longbow ), avoid a guard patrol - wait for one to wander far enough from the camp to pull him (with your newly bought crossbow)

It's a yellow monster - so pretty tough at level 20 as a merc, (with naff equipment if you're not a complete twink)

Only just killed it with dirty tricks (which you get at level 20)

great stuff

The second part involves killing the leader of these guards (at level 25), whacked him and his bodyguards sent me back to camelot post haste...

Here is a tip on the level 20 part of the champion epic quest.

You've been asked to talk to Watchman Rylie at the Moon Lake in Bri Leith. He spawns at night and is surrounded by Empyreans (should be neutral to you) and Blaeseach and his trackers. All these trackers are very aggro, and you don’t want to mess with them. So instead you come in from the south side of the lake and pulls with a snare the nearest Empyrean, without getting any agro from the trackers. Then Rylie will add in on the pull. Run away with the Empyreans chasing you along the lake and keep a good distance to Rylie because he can cast spells. With full health your normal running speed should be the same as the Empyreans, maybe a bit faster, so no need to sprint. Not before you have pulled Rylie a good way from the trackers, then sprint and the Empyreans will give up the chase and walk back, because you have snared one of them. Then run to Rylie and talk to him, get your hauberk and then run away before the trackers come. Very easy. Can be done at level 20.

First, I have to agree about the bogs of cullen, start round Siopia around 40ish (once the exp upstairs in cm is getting low), work your way towards Alain Bin as you get to 50. Rotate around ponds and keep moving to preserve the 5M+ Camp bonus.

few tips for void soloing:-

If your feeling nervous, go for creatures that move slower than you at a walking pace and have no ranged abilites. Curms are a good example.

Go for stuff that is weak to cold. Reptiles are best followed by incorperal undead, rocks and insects.

For low levels try Mermen at connlas well (reptiles so Uber damage, slow, dont baff, no ranged attacks, lots of spawns with no aggro).

... or Deaman Craigs in Silvermine. The craigs use a ranged attack, but its so slow it just prevents them closing on you, weak to void etc.

Dont mess with anything that has fur

In the beginning I used the horse rides to get lunch.

Then my GF thought that I spend just a tad to much time in daoc sometime, so when I was riding I used the time with her.

Daoc is really famely friendly in that way.

Agreed, I also gained a couple of levels (in the 20's) in cliffs of moher, I found a very nice solo spot right in the north east corner at a vindictive bocans camp, also some good spots in Shannon hunting Ants.

Main thing as Boni_ofdaviod pointed out is don't mess with Furry critters.

Misties and Foggies are incorperal undead so fair game for void too, remember making about 3 leves on them
