Solo Shaman?? is it possible?

im wanting to make a shammy on MID/EXCAL but with the strange hours i play i might not be able to fully grp to 50 so what spec is best for a good solo but also a good balanced grp line?

I was looking a Cave spec cos that looks like its a good solo spec but maybe balanced with another line.... any ideas??

I think you'd find a great many people play at strange hours, so you shouldn't really have any problems getting a group.

That said, if you are looking to solo, then I'd suggest a mixture of Cave and Aug might work. I could not possibly comment on the ratio - I'll leave that to those who have played one

well aug/cave is the best combo if u solo but u dont have to max cave to solo yellows easy.. i'd keep aug just below cave spec if i had to solo and maybe grp sometimes Getting the first friggs at higher lvls will help u alot too cuz it lowers DT in grps

but with all the buffbots u will have the same problem as my healer has.. no1 needs u.

yes it's possible...hell, i've done it

without trying to exegerate or anything, but i think i soloed about half the levels from 40 to 50 ... including lvls 47, 48 and most of 49 (altho quests helped a lot too at 49 )

my shammy's end spec is 46 cave/25 mend/13 aug ..and i'm very happy with it

friggs, heals, and some RA's for getting power (like seren1 and MCL2) meant almost no down time.. chaining yellows, killing oranges easily doable, but it drained power too quick imo

but i reckon cave/aug spec could work too

high cave is a must tho

imho its very easy to group as shaman at odd hours =D
and yes, aug/cave 4 teh win. 43 aug/31 cave.

hehe yeah i was about post that im now lvl 8 with Cave / Aug spec and it rocks!! Yellows are easy!! even took mi first orange critter so im please with that, i was gonna keep Cave a little higher that Aug till 20 then re-evaluate then to see if Aug needed to be brought up a bit, but so far so good!!
Can't believe there aren't MASSES of shammies about this char is actually fun to play and quite easy to solo with so far!! i know its only lvl 8 but im enjoying it more than ANY other char so far!!
Not sure on Final Spec for 50 maybe Higher Aug and a little Cave, anyways thanks for the advice!

Dunno, so far i played mending shaman 38/33 - something along those lines. booring. aug/cave 43/31 - teh fun and resists =D. and balanced one with 27 cave (not so boring.
Basically you need high aug for end5 buff (permasprint in rvr) and resists. conc buff are perfectly dealed out by buffbot.
